MOCA 2.5 Help Needed - Why Are my Speeds Slow in 1 Direction?

Just wanted to add my +1 to this issue. I posted about it recently on Reddit but nobody had any solutions. I contacted GoCoax who are the makers of mine and they said the would comment on that thread but never did.

    goCoax MoCA 2.5 adapter

Hi guys, I got a pair of the MA2500D and they are working fine for the most part but initially I was seeing strange issues such as not being able to get to local computers and local websites not loading. It turned out it was because my whole network is jumbo frames (9K) enabled. I had to disable...

Ubiquiti AC Pro and AC Lite Access Points Reviewed

Hi all, quick question on the LITE vs PRO. I noticed in the review that the throughput speeds were almost identical. See above as an example. How is this the case when the LITE is a 2x2 866Mhz and the PRO is supposed to be a 3x3 1300Mbps AP?

    Breaking the Gb barrier?

I dont believe this is true for single streams and typical home networks. Unless you are using iSCSI/NFS MPIO or SMB3 multi channel, a single stream will only use one interface regardless of LAG, LACP or any other aggregation function. I have a 2 port LACP trunk in my home network and it does...

    Breaking the Gb barrier?

Unfortunately, unlike wireless, bonding ethernet ports does not aggregate throughput for a single stream. LACP would aggregate the bandwidth for multiple streams or users but a single connection, such as copying a file, would still be limited to 1Gb. I was trying to get around that by going...

    Breaking the Gb barrier?

Thanks, guess I will save my money so. I must say seeing transfers peak at 110MBps over my current wifi is pretty satisfying. I was using a homeplug before the T9E that peaked at 35MBps which I thought was great at the time.

    Breaking the Gb barrier?

Thanks for the replies guys. Just an FYI I currently have a TpLink T9E 3x3 PCIe card in my desktop, so a link speed of 1.3Gbps. When copying files from my NAS I average 105 - 110MBps which comes very close to the Gbe speed limit on the router (~115MBps). A 4x4 connection @ 1.7Gbps should, under...

    Breaking the Gb barrier?

Hi guys, With the release of the 4x4 (1.7Gb/2.2Gb) ASUS PCE-AC88 desktop adapter I was wondering what the outcome would be to getting two of them and putting them in different PCs connected to the same router? I currently have a TPLink C2600 capable of 4x4 1.7Gb streams + MU-MIMO. The downside...

    ESXi - iSCSI - MPIO - DS1815+ - Performance question

Hi guys, this might be a bit too narrow a field to be asking here but I hang out here a lot so thought I would ask anyway. I have a LUN on my DS1815+ which I have setup for multiple connections and multipath is setup on the ESXi using two NICs. The DS1815+ is using 2 x NICs in LACP and both the...

R7800: LAN Bottleneck when testing 160MHz

The only way you will see more than 1Gbps with 1Gbe PHYs is probably for local file shares if you have a 3x3 or more wireless adapter in your PC that connects at 1.3Gbps+ to your wireless router and you use two of your wireless routers Ethernet ports to connect to your network and then you use...

Need a MIMO Antenna Stand for my PC

Hi guys, I recently upgraded my home network. I had an old draft N router that was showing its age so I took the plunge and got a TpLink C2600. I also bought the Tplink TE9 for my PC and so far things are good. I am seeing speeds of about 500Mbps. I noticed however that when I turned my PC...

ZyXEL PLA5405 1200 Mbps Powerline Gigabit Ethernet Adapter Reviewed

When it comes to powerline devices Im always curious to know how companies are allowed to market devices as being 1200Mb when they are not even theoretically able to get to that. Where I am from consumer laws do not allow false advertising and can open companies up to being sued. If I advertised...
