    Asus xt9 google safesearch

Thanks. I’m using opendns to block content which is working fine. Kids are young so would only likely use google as it’s the default on the fire tablet, but I take your point about using bing etc 👍

Thanks. Those are useful tips, certainly for when the my are older. They are currently 4 and 7 so initially I just need a basic block on google images etc. I’m slightly reluctant to enable filtering on the ASU’s router in case there is a performance hit, I’ll investigate further thanks

    XT9 poor range

Hi I’ve just bought a pair of XT9’s and the range is significantly worse than the Sky SR209 that it replaces. I will need 3-4 ai mesh nodes to replace a single router in my 3000 sq ft property. In every other respect they are a big improvement except wireless range. Any suggestions?

    XT9 real world power consumption

Thanks @ColinTaylor My plan was to have 1 XT9 connected to the ONT and then a wired backhaul to another XT9 in the bedroom. I just thought if it’s got a wired backhaul that between midnight and 7am I could turn the radios off in the bedroom to avoid unnecessary wireless (potential radiation)...

    XT9 real world power consumption

Thanks that’s re-assuring. I was just reluctant to run 2 x 30 watts - 60 watts 24/7 with electricity prices the way they are in the UK

Hi, I’m looking to understand the XT9’s real world power consumption. The power consumption says upto 30watts. Has anyone tested this? What does the typical wattage look like? Many thanks
