Release Asuswrt-Merlin 3004.388.7 is now available

I know it's a long shot yet the checksum is there because it can go wrong and can go wrong multiple times. You should eliminate the issue. On some routers they run low on memory as they run and will not update. Reboot, and then try upgrading

AX82U issues with WAN port going down every day

You could try NORMAL mode for DHCP. I suspect it's something else. My first suspect is the modem, cable modems like to break.

    GT-AX6000 2.5GLan to WiFi speed

I had my RT-AX86U connected at 2.5 Gb for a few years to my MikroTik - CRS305-1G-4S+ and it worked great. Then one day I noticed some things were slow. Connecting to router to the switch using a 1-Gb link solved the issue and oddly other 2.5-Gb ethernet connections work fine with eather. I...

    Samsung 5Ghz becomes 2.4 GHz

If you want a device to connect only to one band, then that band requires a unique SSID that is not placed on the other band. For example you could have SSIDS: my5, my2, and my with my5 on the 5Ghz radio, my2 on the 2.4Ghz radio and my on both radios.

Sudden increase in bufferbloat with Cake QoS when nothing's changed?

Your router is not the only one on the internet! There is probably congestion someplace between you and the test server. If all parties between you are the test server are responsible network operators they will see this and fix it.

Where is the cache of known MAC addresses stored?

Not only that, some clines request the same IP they previously used. The answer to your question if there is a list of mac addresses stored, every device has an ARP table has a list of MAC addresses and there associated IP. You can see it using arp -a on many systems.

    Announcement: 3006 progress report - it's a go

I totally agree with you. Having discovered that Asus has not updated the firmware for either of my fairly new routers in a long time and has announced EOL for both of them yet is supposed to be doing security updates I'm thrilled that Merlin continues to provide the security updates. Sadly, I...
