There has been no conversation about this version. Anyone know what specifically was fixed/changed as part of:
- Enhanced system stability
What was enhanced?
Upgraded a two router AI Mesh using the mobile app yesterday afternoon and roughly 20 hours later seems fine. No obvious issues.
Anecdotally, everything seems status quo, but it’s a very vanilla setup. So as long as WiFi and wired connections are working with no major or obvious changes, I’m good.
I’m get this on my RT-AX88U Pro running firmware 102_33352 but it’s not all the time. Happens with the mobile app as well. Sometimes the query works fine and the check completes. Other times the error. 🤷♂️
It’s intermittent and leads me to believe it’s something on the Asus end.
I have 2 RT-AX88U Pro routers in a mesh. Got some new devices that support WiFi 7, so am considering upgrading my routers.
What’s the WiFi 7 equivalent of the AX88U Pro? Is it the BE88U?
Took one of them out and now just 2 of the same AX88U Pro. I learned the lesson that less is more sometimes. One unit is on the 2nd floor, and one is in the finished basement. Devices on the main floor use whichever they’re getting a better signal from, as they’re each on a different end of the...
This new version seems likes a winner. Performance is good and when set to 20/40/80/160, the 5 GHz band will step down to 80 and up to 160 dynamically as needed. It finally works as designed.
Is there a delay between when new firmware is available for download on the Asus site and when the router will detect it?
When I check for new firmware, the router tells me my “AI Mesh system is up to date” but I’m using older version 102_3340.
This firmware does not show up when I do a detect for updates on the router app or in the web console. Yet I do see it on the Asus support site.
What’s the deal?
Any recommendations on a good UPS that isn’t overkill for use with an ONT, router, hub in my basement to protect against power outages due to storms, etc?
