Release Asuswrt-Merlin 3006.102.4 is now available

Thanks @bennor and @MDM for your suggestions. I ended up blocking 8888 and 8844 in Network Services Filter for each device, and that worked.

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 3006.102.4 is now available

My FireTV 4k max sticks all show google DNS in leak tests no matter what I put in DNS Director. I have it set to Router (which is set to us my ISP in the WAN page). It’ll occasionally show my ISP DNS, it then shows about 100 different google IPs. I haven’t bothered figuring it out yet. I can’t...

    Malware damaging ASUS routers?

UPnP is as safe as the devices on your LAN using it. Securing the devices using outbound connections is outside of the scope of UPnP itself. The continued UPnP FUD is ridiculous. If you have clients abusing UPnP you probably have bigger problems.

    AX88U Pro Firmware version 3.0.0.6.102_33338 2024/11/06

AiMesh is missing in mine as well. However, everything I do use seems to be showing and working correctly. I never would have even noticed the AiMesh issue since I don't use it.

    Malware damaging ASUS routers?

I see what you are saying, I thought I had seen all the current models on the list. Good point, they are not updated.

    Malware damaging ASUS routers?

The list is referring to ASUS routers that do not have the firmware updates listed above in the security advisory. The AX models have these updates.

RT-AX88U maxing out a core and regularly showing 60+ MB/s upload

I have never seen the AiCloud services enabled on my routers. My AX88U Pro has always defaulted to disabled on ASUS stock firmware.

BIG issue with ASUS routers killing network with upload flood

It is suspected the malware could be using the AiCloud services. Either as a vector or enabling it to run something it needs. Also as far as I know AiCloud is not enabled by default. It hasn’t ever been on the three ASUS routers I’ve had.

BIG issue with ASUS routers killing network with upload flood

I agree I’ve never enabled these and they have never been turned on.

Do you have any AiCloud services enabled?

RT-AX88U maxing out a core and regularly showing 60+ MB/s upload

I have no idea. I’ve never used it either. It’s been a problem since I first started using ASUS routers.

RT-AX88U maxing out a core and regularly showing 60+ MB/s upload

Thread 'ASUS RT-BE86U Firmware version 3.0.0.6.102_37022' https://www.snbforums.com/threads/asus-rt-be86u-firmware-version-3-0-0-6-102_37022.92289/ “2.Enhanced AiCloud password protection mechanisms, safeguarding against unauthorized access attempts.” Seems that AiCloud could be the problem child.
