ANNOUNCEMENT: Asuswrt-Merlin support underway for 3 Wifi 7 routers

Are you doing this and Gnuton testing? I am a little worried what they produce may be different to your builds? Yours are easy to flash to and flash back to stock if required and work with many plugins. Do the builds sit in your onedrive area when testing and same place as usual when released?

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.13 / 386.13_2 is now available for AC models

Downloaded, but the release notes were incorrect inside for 388.7. It caused "MerlinAU" add-on to not apply it if the default setting of looking at the release notes was left enabled. Obviously, you can go into add-on settings and toggle this check off.

    [ 3004.388.7 alpha 2 Build(s) ] Testing available build(s)

Agree. Its such a small line to include on the NETWORK bit. I also like to know connections. I have the max tcp connections lower on the config page as it probably helps memory etc if lower but enough with headroom.

QNAP EOL date period when buying NAS

EOL dates for firmware. ----------------------- Anyone know if the EOL is calculated from start of sale for a new model, or when they stop selling it? Can't find this on QNAP, just vague statements. Don't want to spend on a new model to find its stops sale 6 months after and then firmware...

Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 386.13 beta is now available for AC models

Got a family member who has AC86U. They normally have Web History disabled, but enabled it the other day to see the URLS logged. None seem to log though? Was flash hard reset before alphas but not for Beta. Is it a known issue? Thanks.

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 3004.388.6 is now available

    3 x RT-AX86U are fine - two are on a WAN

    Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 3004.388.6_x test builds (dnsmasq 2.90)

cautiously did it on one AX86U. DNSSec still works and confirmed by test tools. IPv4 network (ISP). No issues so far, remote apps still work etc. and I use DNS over TLS too. 18/02/2024 - UPDATE: Done the update on two other remote AX86U and all seems to be OK. I read Merlin tried js7k.com...

Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 3004.388.6 Beta is now available

Yep, already did that as used over a number of years before. I'll try a hard reset of one of the routers when production comes along.....

Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 3004.388.6 Beta is now available

Lets Encrypt didn;t work after updating 2 of my 3 AX86U routers at different locations (the third used its own Global CA Authority Cert). I had to toggle AUTO and back to Let's Encrypt under DDNS settings to work around and make it get a Lets Encrypt cert. Also, this may have been broken in...

Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 3004.388.4 beta is now available

    [ 388.4 alpha Build(s) ] Testing available build(s)

Put onto 3 RT-AX86U in different geographical areas and noticed the 5ghz utilisation value was working, but 2.4ghz was stuck on 100% utilisation even if no devices connected and on any channel. This is two areas with no other access points around and one that has other access points around. So...

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 388.2 is now available for select models

Dirty stinking filthy upgrade from previous alpha and beta releases on THREE AX86U here (two on WAN miles away) and smooth as butter for a few days now since release. For me, Wifi more stable than previous release (.386/388.1) with a couple of "older" devices using AC that were random in...
