    YazFi YazFi v4.x - continued

Thank you so much. I had actually used a different instructional post of yours https://www.snbforums.com/threads/help-with-iptables-script.87827/ to get started with my attempt! After reviewing the post you pointed out, I had made a silly mistake. L ≠ 1! w10.3 ≠ wl0.3. I was already open...

    YazFi YazFi v4.x - continued

Hoping someone can help me with a simple IPtables question. I am completely unfamiliar with IPtable syntax. I have a guest network set up for devices that need access amongst themselves. I have turned on 1-way access to this guest network from the LAN. For 1 specific device, 192.168.4.36, I...

BACKUPMON BACKUPMON v1.7.2 -Apr 1, 2024- Backup/Restore your Router: JFFS + NVRAM + External USB Drive! CIFS/SMB/NFS! (Now available in AMTM!)

Thanks for the ideas. Looking at my Ext USB, it doesn't contain anything necessary for the router to function, hence my wondering why it is backed up by default. It's used only as a network drive. Specifically in my case, I have a NAS directory serving as a network backup folder on the Ext...

BACKUPMON BACKUPMON v1.7.2 -Apr 1, 2024- Backup/Restore your Router: JFFS + NVRAM + External USB Drive! CIFS/SMB/NFS! (Now available in AMTM!)

Hi everyone, I just came across this great utility and thank the dev for creating this. I am working on configuring it for my use case. I find the script defaults to backing up the USB drive connected to my router (AX86U). I am trying to exclude this. The label to the drive is "4GB", so the...

Issues getting Android phone to connect and stay connected to 5ghz SSID

Thanks everyone for your kind suggestions. This type of issue doesn't seem to be isolated, given the number of existing threads. That's interesting and unfortunate. Fortunately, this forum is a gold mine of suggestions and helpful experts. Roaming assist is off. I haven't made the channel...

Issues getting Android phone to connect and stay connected to 5ghz SSID

Just found this thread: https://www.snbforums.com/threads/asus-ax68u-5ghz-band-dropping-disappearing.76091/page-2 which may have more suggestions for my problem. Even though it's not the exact model, it is the AX generation.

Issues getting Android phone to connect and stay connected to 5ghz SSID

Yup, one of the first things I did when I first got the phone (and on any Android phone).

Issues getting Android phone to connect and stay connected to 5ghz SSID

Thanks. It's been on WPA2, but I had tried WPA3 when I first purchased the router and that resulted in losing an IOT device, which I understand is common. I did go through the "forget" procedure and for now, it seems to be working.

Issues getting Android phone to connect and stay connected to 5ghz SSID

I recently purchased an AX86U and have the latest Merlin firmware on it. I've been having issues getting my S10E Samsung Android phone to reliably connect to the 5ghz SSID. On occasion, it will connect to the SSID and behave normally. Most times, it will attempt to log in but have...

RT-AX86U very slow 2.4 GHZ but fast 5 GHZ

A fantastic summary, thank you! After uninstalling YazFi and futzing with some of the suggested settings, I believe I am seeing improved speeds. I re-installed YazFi and so far it seems stable. I will pull the AC68U out of storage just to see what kind of settings I last used. EDIT: Turns...

RT-AX86U very slow 2.4 GHZ but fast 5 GHZ

That's a good resource, but I don't see the part where just moving from an AC router to an AX router gives me 3-4x slower 2.4ghz speeds on an AC capable device? I'm going to try removing YazFi and start again from there.

RT-AX86U very slow 2.4 GHZ but fast 5 GHZ

Sorry for bringing back up such an old thread, but I am encountering the same issue. Did you ever figure it out? Had an AC-68U, upgraded to the AX-86U a month ago. 2.4ghz gets 40-50 mbps max, way slower than it should be. 5ghz gets 250-300 mbps, which is expected. On the AC-68U before the...

YazFi and client isolation on AX86U

Ahhh. I did see several mentions of AX86U working in general with YazFi, but missed the link: https://www.snbforums.com/threads/yazfi-devices-getting-wrong-ip-address.78754/ which describes my use case almost exactly! Also found this unfortunate post...

YazFi and client isolation on AX86U

I just purchased an AX86U so I'm getting used to its improvements over my AC68U. Does Yazfi provide Client Isolation for this model as well? I saw an older changelog (v4.2.1) which stated it was now turned on for the AX88U, but no mention of the AX86U. (Can't post on the latest YazFi general...
