I want to know if this setup will work. My TWC coaxial line from the street enters to a 2-way splitter. One branch goes to another 4-way splitter which feeds the other bedrooms. The other branch goes to my living room where my cable modem and router is. Can I install a Cat cable from the router to a MoCa adapter which then leads to another splitter that originally fed tot the coax to the cable modem? And then will it feed back down to the 4-way splitter and other bedrooms if I put MoCa adapters there? Can the TWC internet signal coax line to the modem also be used to feed a MoCa adapter back down the same coax to the 4-way splitter feeding the bedrooms?

I use a lot of MOCA in my house but on separate lines from the incoming COAX to the modem. My understanding is that MOCA cannot coexist with the incoming DOCSIS signal going to the modem.

Ok thanks, good to know. I may have to move my modem and router to before the splitters to the rest of the house. Kinda of a bummer since the router will be in the deepest part of the house and I'll need to setup repeaters in rooms to get the wireless signal spread out.

Another question. I'm using a Arris SB6183 modem and it has a MoCa reject filter on it. Does that mean it will block the MoCa signal which will basically kill any MoCa going through it? Then my original question about bidirectional is moot since it won't do that?

Also, does the MoCa reject filter substitute for a standalone MoCa filter so I should really put the modem between the street coax and my first splitter anywhere into the house?

MOCA is bidirectional and on different frequencies than DOCSIS so they can coexist on the same line. In my house on the incoming line I have a MOCA POE filter otherwise MOCA will not work due to excessive signal dissipation. Then have a 3 way splitter. One goes to the garage to a ECB6200 to provide ethernet to my alarm panel and home automation. One goes to my office where I have another ECB6200 and the cable modem. The other goes to a bedroom with a WCB6200Q to extend WIFI in that location.

Great! My biggest concern is that my modem and router are located in one room off a main splitter for the house. I was hoping I didn't have to move them to before the splitter if the DOCSIS and MoCA can't coexist on the same coaxial.

It will be fine, I have my MOCA adapter right in front of my DOCSIS modem with zero issues. Also using 4 MOCA adapters throughout my house. Off one leg of the main splitter it goes MOCA then DOCSIS modem, all other legs have MOCA's on them.
