    detect / block torrents

    Since streaming portals start to implement torrents in the backend, I would like to block torrents. Best would be if this could this be implemented in the router (ac66u). Are here any suggestions hints for this?

    open connections != netstat

    The WebUI has a page which shows all open/active connections. If I log in (ssh) and use netstat I get much less connections shown. It also doesnt show the IP addresses outside of the router. What command is used in the WebUI to resolve the connections?

    High LAN ping with active wlan

    Traffice Monitoring MAC and File Format

    a) is it difficult to switch to monitoring with mac address than ip address? I think that would make it much more easier for wireless devices which I dont like to give static IP. (windows can not handle ip setups per wireless connection.) b) how is the file format of the stored traffic data?

    ext3 vs ntfs

    I have an 1.5 GB USB 3.0 drive on USB. Formated with ntfs I got write speeds of 15MB/s, with ext3 I only get 12 MB/s. (Samba -> 100% cpu load both) Merlin wrote somewhere that Asus uses optimized ntfs driver. But could they be rly faster than ext3 ?

    Networkmonitoring = reboot

    I installed entware and tools like tcpdump, iptraf etc. using this tools leads to instand/delayed reboot: e.g. tcpdump -i br0 -> reboot this happens with merlin asuswrt 24 and 25b iptraf reports and cant lock at br0. do i do something wrong here?
