    Had mine since 2013. Went through several DLink routers before that in shorter times and hated dealing with problems and quirks. Been very happy with Asus but might give Synology a look.

    After a day or so Core1 is down to under 30% so whatever was happening seems to have settled out.

    A soft reboot via GUI did not. I noticed late last night after everyone went to bed that core 1 was down to the same levels as core 2. Today it is back up at 100%. I will try a power cycle tonight.

    Just updated to this version. I am seeing core 1 staying at or near 100%. Don't recall this being the case before the update. Updated by clicking the flashing bell instead of a manual update.

    Not sure how #40 and 41 (memory issues) apply to me. Anyway I did the factory default and reentered my settings. I still see WIFI occasionally drop off but have not been able to catch anything on the router end yet.

    Since updating to this version my WiFi drops out several times a day. I will do a factory default and reenter setups as soon as I can get everyone off the network for an hour.

    I have encountered this issue for years over multiple software versions and not associated with any particular installation period. A power reboot always has solved it.

    Do you reboot often your router ?

    As electronic components continue to shrink the junction reliability continues to shrink. With every power cycle you subject the components to internal stresses both thermal and electrical. Mostly in the first milliseconds of operation but those stresses can induce other potential failure modes.

    Are you running any Ethernet outdoors like to a garage or external security camera? If so, are you using shielded cable and connectors? A cable can act like an antenna and pickup induced voltages.

Recently got into main page OK after loosing internet and found RAM at 79 percent with logs full of warnings about cannot allocate enough space. Then the whole GUI locked up.     Comcast DHCP issues with some Asus routers?

    I have had 68U since 2013 behind a Comcast VOIP modem without seeing this error. I recently dumped the landline and rented modem buying an approved Netgear CM600 and have had no problem. In fact, my speed testing has seen a 240% download improvement since replacing the Comcast device.

    Been running mine since 2013 covering 4 stories and part of yard with over 50 devices both wired and wireless. Always run stock firmware and yes there have been a few bad releases over the years but this is the most stable router I have ever had out of four owned to date.
