Release Asuswrt-Merlin 388.3 is now available for the RT-AX88U_Pro

I initially wired our PC, that’s near the router, to the 2.5G/1G LAN port (LAN 5) and even though the PC could only connect at 1G everything seemed to work fine. However, I noticed in the router log that whenever we turned the PC on and it connected there would an entry in the log stating...

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 388.3 is now available for the RT-AX88U_Pro

@bennor, thanks once again. From that post it suggests ASUS has acknowledged it as a bug in the firmware for the Pro model, hmmmmm!

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 388.3 is now available for the RT-AX88U_Pro

@bennor, Thank you for your response! I suspect then that the same is true for the AX88 Pro! You've saved me from going through the headache of a new full setup and troubleshooting. I wonder why it was removed?

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 388.3 is now available for the RT-AX88U_Pro

@RMerlin, I decided to give the RT-AX88U Pro a try and followed the firmware update process I’ve always used without issue and updated the router’s firmware from the ASUS original (3.0.0.4.388.21915) to Merlin’s 388.3_0. The update over a wired connection went smoothly, so I once again did a...

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 388.3 is now available for the RT-AX88U_Pro

Thanks, @RMerlin for your reply, you're right, it's always a hit/miss on hardware revisions/upgrades. I just like to go with the latest in case there is an under the radar fix for an issue with the initial design release!

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 388.3 is now available for the RT-AX88U_Pro

Does anyone know what the revision number is for this new hardware release? I just bought a new RT-AX88U Pro and if it isn't the latest hardware revision I'd like to send it back before I open the box. Mine is marked Hardware Version 1.0. Thanks!

    [Release 382] Asuswrt-Merlin 382.1 is now available

RMerlin; thank you very much for your response; it is very much appreciated!!! No problem, since I've never encountered a hiccup with your Firmware I thought I should mention the two anomalies. I was running your 380.68_4 before flashing to this release, so I didn't see any of the issues...

    [Release 382] Asuswrt-Merlin 382.1 is now available

I updated my RT-AC88U today with the 382.1 Firmware and this is the first time that I’ve noticed any out of the ordinary indications. I always reset to default and establish a basic configuration before upgrading to a new firmware. After the Router is updated with new firmware, I perform a reset...

    RT-AC87U Firmware version 3.0.0.4.378.9529

arrow201; you're welcome, good luck!!! Since re-enabling UPnP my NAS Drives have hung in there, go figure!!!! I'm tempted to retry 9529 and see if turning off or turning off/on UPnP stabilizes things. If I do, I'll report back with the results.

    RT-AC87U Firmware version 3.0.0.4.378.9529

arrow201; I flashed the ASUS 380_2695 beta firmware today to see if it had the same issue I’ve observed with my two Western Digital 1TB MyBookLive NAS Drives; which I started experiencing with the 378_9460 and 378_9529 official releases, but unfortunately it has the same problem. However...

    [Beta] RT-AC87U Firmware version 9.0.0.4.380_2695

I flashed the ASUS 380_2695 beta firmware today to see if it fixed the issue I’ve observed with my two Western Digital 1TB MyBookLive NAS Drives; which I started experiencing with the 378_9460 and 378_9529 official releases, but unfortunately it has the same problem. This problem wasn’t present...

    RT-AC87U Firmware version 3.0.0.4.378.9529

Unfortunately, I have the same issue with 3.0.0.4.378_9529 firmware as I experienced beginning with 3.0.0.4.378_9460. This problem wasn’t present in Firmware Release 3.0.0.4.378_9383 or earlier. I’ve observed this problem on both of my Windows 10 home computers (one wired & one wireless 5GHz...

    [Official] RT-AC87U Firmware version 3.0.0.4.378.9460

I experienced a very strange problem with this Official ASUS Firmware Release (3.0.0.4.378_9460 downloaded on 12/28) when I updated my RT-AC87U. The problem was observed on two of my three Windows 10 home computers (one wired & one wireless 5GHz connections); I didn’t try the third computer that...

    [Official] RT-AC87U Firmware version 3.0.0.4.378.9460

LOL, I knew I'd get blamed! :( :D I download from the Windows 10 64 bit menu, but I see 9460 is no longer listed. However, I agree with you, I don't plan to take a chance and flash the version I downloaded. I was just curious to see what file size would actually be downloaded and what version...

    [Official] RT-AC87U Firmware version 3.0.0.4.378.9460

ubimea; the file I downloaded from the RT-AC87 Helpdesk was in fact 43,421KB, not .25KB as shown! I don't know if the file is invalid or not because I haven't tried to use it. However, I just tried to download the file again as a test and while it is still shown on the Helpdesk page; the...

    System Log shows...

Interestingly, I have FW version 9135 on my RT-AC68U router and I saw these continuously in the System Log. However, for reasons other than troubleshooting I turned off my Amazon Fire TV and my Apple TV, both connecting wirelessly on 5GHz, and the log entries stopped. I took the 68 router...

    PCE-AC68 Windows 10 Drivers

I did the upgrade using the "Get Windows 10" app. I considered a clean install since I'd created an installation DVD from the ISO file I downloaded separately, but thought I'd give the normal upgrade route a chance so I wouldn't have to reload and setup everything. It appears that Windows 10 is...
