    Firmware version clarification

I hate to ask questions that might seem obvious to some, but, I admit, I'm a bit confused. Nevertheless, in the router (RT-AX88u Pro) settings (I'm on an iMac) what are the differences between the signature version and the AiMesh version? In the settings, they appear to be the same. And for...

    Settings don't stick RT-AX88u Pro

Next time I change settings, I'll try this. Thanks.

    Settings don't stick RT-AX88u Pro

Hold the presses! That works both in Safari and in Firefox. Thanks, L&LD.

    Settings don't stick RT-AX88u Pro

My experience is quite similar. I could try this. Problem now is that Safari tells me it can't find the server when I try to reach asusrouter.com. Does this connection work only with a wired connection? According to the user guide,"Connect to the network name (SSID) shown on the product...

OK. Thanks. I may give Merlin a try.

    Settings don't stick RT-AX88u Pro

I'm doing it that way, and the settings hold but only after 3 or 4 attempts. Asusrouter.com seems very unreliable. Could something else be going on to upset its stability?

    Settings don't stick RT-AX88u Pro

Thanks for the suggestions. Sorry I didn't clarify this: I'm configuring the router on an iMac with Safari in asusrouter.com. bbunge, are you suggesting I access the settings differently? Logi, by "refresh the browser," do you mean click the refresh button on the address bar?

    Settings don't stick RT-AX88u Pro

Just set up a new RT-AX88u Pro. The settings in asusrouter.com don't hold when clicking "apply," and the app seems to switch settings randomly between 2.4GHz and 5GHz settings. My last firmware version is 3.0.0.6.102_33308. What's wrong here?

Upgrading my RT-AX86u for stronger signal

Just some experiments. Some of my apps required a manual reset with the old router after power glitches, so I’m curious if they come back on line as they should with the new router.

Upgrading my RT-AX86u for stronger signal

Update: I bought an ASUS RT-AX88u Pro. Setup and getting it running was easy--following the instructions! Based on my tests with Netspot, upload speeds are similar, comparing this router's tests with my old router (RT-AX86u), but download speed is WAY faster with the new router. I have no way to...

Extend system log by an additional two days

Is there a way to extend the system log by an additional two days? My router is the RT-AX86u.

Upgrading my RT-AX86u for stronger signal

Thanks, all, for the advice. I think my options are the upgrade to the Pro version of my router or try a wifi range extender, like the TL-WA850RE. @Justinh: How do I check the radio power settings on my RT-AX86u?

Upgrading my RT-AX86u for stronger signal

I have an Asus RT-AX86u router. I've been thinking about upgrading it. By "upgrading," I mean replacing it with an Asus router that provides a stronger signal on both bands. I have a solar panel system with the wifi connection in my garage. The router's 2.4 GHz signal must pass through two...

How can I identify a mystery device on my network?

I think I found the problem--I disabled those clients on my iPhone app instead of on my Mac. Turns out it's my iPhone! Must be that random private wifi addresses, referred to by dave14305 back in message #2.

How can I identify a mystery device on my network?

As an update, I'm trying to disable clients I don't recognize. I'm signed into my RT-AX86u router (firmware is up to date) on my iMAC. I'm going into General > Network Map > Client Status. When I click on a client, I'm turning the "Block Internet Access" switch to "ON," but when I then click...

How can I identify a mystery device on my network?

When I log into my router and inspect the network map, there are two devices I cannot identify. They're listed only by their IP addresses and MAC addresses. One is listed as an Apple device, but the listed MAC address doesn't match any of my devices. I don't recognize the other device's MAC...

    Gain remote access to RT-AX86u

The router isn't the problem. But when a power glitch causes the router to reboot, my solar power Enphase system and my myQ garage door opener app don't come back on line as they should--like all my other apps. I'm working with the Enphase people to find a solution so that I don't have to make...
