Smart Life Device Keeps Disconnecting Daily

An update on this. I had read elsewhere that adding these devices to the guest wifi network can help stop issues. I reluctantly did so and it actually seems to have worked. I added the device to the 2.4Ghz guest network and now everything is stable 2 days later.

Smart Life Device Keeps Disconnecting Daily

Hi, I have an RT-AC86U as my main mode and 3 other nodes connected in mesh. I recently bought some bulbs that connect using the Smart Life app. Setting up was fine and everything worked correctly. What I have noticed that every morning they have been disconnected in both the app and Alexa...

    ASUS DSL-AC88U

Yeah, already have an 87U with my modem in bridge mode. I have a second older Belkin router acting as an access point upstairs and want to upgrade that. Was either going to get a 66U or 68U and use as an access point, or was toying around with the idea of upgrading the main router. I might just...

    ASUS DSL-AC88U

    Asus RT-AC86U Roamaing Assistant

Hi, I'm running Merlin 380.66_6 and I have roaming assistant enabled for both 2.4 and 5Ghz channels. It's set to -70 dBm and I have a second older Belkin router acting a an access point with the SSID etc. The issue I'm having is the 87U doesn't seem to be releasing clients once they go lower...

    Second Router For AP

Yeah, cheers. The clients I'll be using do support DFS as they connect fine to the downstairs 87U. I'm thinking that the 66U would tick all the boxes for me especially at £75. I won't rule out a dedicated AP though. I'll do a bit more reading up on them. Thanks again.

    Second Router For AP

Hi, Thanks for the reply. I'm essentially looking for coverage and speed (one helps the other :)). My current setup works great for coverage, but I just want to upgrade to something faster using AC WiFi. Plus my Belkin cannot use the DFS channels which is quite limiting. The reason I'm going...

    Second Router For AP

Hey, First time poster, long time lurker. I currently run a Asus RT-AC87U as my main router and have a Belkin N600DB wired up as a second AP though power-line. I'm currently doping some upgrades top install LAN cable throughout the house and want to replace the Belkin with a better AP. I am...
