IPv6 GUAs for Isolated Guest Network?

In other words, you have a non-Asus router connected to your modem with firmware capable of assigning two separate IPv6 global subnets through its GUI. I'm looking to set this guest IPv6 global subnet up on an Asus router.

IPv6 GUAs for Isolated Guest Network?

You are saying you set up the ISP-provided global prefix XXXX:XXXX:XXXX:XXX1::1/64 for your guest network on VLAN 52 via the GUI without any custom scripts? How? The GUI doesn't offer the means to create a second IPv6 subnet like it does with IPv4.

IPv6 GUAs for Isolated Guest Network?

Guessing in my case like dave said this would be a bit more involved since my clients are on an isolated VLAN without intranet access. Sounds like the syntax may have changed since 386 as well. Seeing as I've never written dnsmasq scripts, I'm probably better off waiting until this gets...

IPv6 GUAs for Isolated Guest Network?

Thanks. So, let's assume for the sake of this exercise that random IPv6 prefix I came up with is what I'm using. I can now see both 4400:2700:5A80:1101::1/64 and 4400:2700:5A80:1101::/64 in my routing table and associated with interface br58. However, none of the devices on my guest network are...

IPv6 GUAs for Isolated Guest Network?

Thanks. I'm getting the following error message when I attempt this: Error: either "local" is duplicate, or "br58" is a garbage.

IPv6 GUAs for Isolated Guest Network?

Thanks for your help. I had my fingers crossed there was somehow a way to do this without having to write any scripts but I guess it couldn't hurt to use this as a learning opportunity. Friendly heads up that this would be my first time doing this. My network knowledge doesn't currently extend...

IPv6 GUAs for Isolated Guest Network?

It's just br0 for me. So I'm guessing I was right then - the guest network needs its own /64 subnet? How would I go about getting it assigned a /64?

IPv6 GUAs for Isolated Guest Network?

Well, the WAN prefix is a /56, but the LAN prefix is locked to a /64. From my understanding, this is the case for the majority of ISPs. Either way, there's no way to create IPv6 subnets in the GUI. Shouldn't the RAs be reaching the clients on the guest network VLAN?

IPv6 GUAs for Isolated Guest Network?

Trying to allow clients on my guest network to get GUAs from my /64 subnet with the prefix given by the ISP via DHCP-PD. Currently, only the clients on my main subnet get them. Wondering if this is by design or if there are specific settings that are needed to get this to work. I would imagine...

IPv6 GUAs for Isolated Guest Network?

Can anyone tell me if it's possible for a guest network on an isolated VLAN and IPv4 subnet without intranet access to receive IPv6 global addresses via the GUI or does this require scripts? I would imagine this would also require a different IPv6 subnet but the GUI currently doesn't offer a...

    GT-BE98 Pro: 40,000+ ms ping using Wi-Fi 7 despite 4 Gbps up & down

Update on this: This was no doubt a bug in the S24 line using Android 14. Upon the S24's upgrade to Android 15 and One UI 7, this issue no longer exists. I had a Reddit thread with a handful of people who were experiencing the same issue until the recent update.

(Solved) GT-BE98 Pro refusing to enable Stateless IPv6 configuration for LAN

I know this thread is like a year and a half old now but I couldn't find much else relevant to the issue I'm having (which isn't a big one by any means). Are you saying you are running Guest Network Pro SDNs on different VLAN-subnets AND your router RAs are reaching these clients and allowing...

BE96U: Bonding/Link Aggregation in AP Mode using 10G LAN1/WAN port?

Hoping someone can clarify something here. I'm using a BE96U in AP Mode and was hoping to use the 10G WAN/LAN1 port as one of the bonding/link aggregation ports. The GUI under LAN > Switch Control > Bonding/ Link Aggregation reads "Enable Bonding (802.3ad) support for your wired client and then...

    GT-BE98 Pro: 40,000+ ms ping using Wi-Fi 7 despite 4 Gbps up & down

Switching to Merlin doesn't fix the issue unfortunately. Samsung reports that they don't encounter the issue with a GT-BE98 Pro and an S24 Ultra but I think they are full of crap personally. The issue definitely has something to do with the use of IPv6 with 802.11BE specifically and it's...

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 3006.102.2 is now available for Wifi 7 devices

Ah, that sucks. Oh well. Thanks for sharing! Would love to see a custom Merlin GUI someday.

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 3006.102.2 is now available for Wifi 7 devices

Awesome. Finally made the transition off WRT and to Merlin firmware recently. I feel incredibly stupid for not doing it sooner. A few quick questions when you have a minute: I can't turn on NFSD on my GT-BE98 Pro. Everytime I enable it, it attempts to apply the change, but then turns back off...

    GT-BE98 Pro: 40,000+ ms ping using Wi-Fi 7 despite 4 Gbps up & down

Update: After over 8 months and an RMA, I have this issue narrowed down to IPv6 with WiFi 7. There are two things that solve this issue: 1. Turning off IPv6 but leaving WiFi 7 mode on (on the S24 Ultra) 2. Turning off WiFi 7 mode (on the S24 Ultra) but leaving IPv6 on The issue happens with...

    GT-BE98 Pro: 40,000+ ms ping using Wi-Fi 7 despite 4 Gbps up & down

I only get those numbers when I'm experiencing the Wi-Fi 7 issue. Otherwise, those HTTP and HTTPS probes are under 1,000 ms. This whole situation is bizarre.

    GT-BE98 Pro: 40,000+ ms ping using Wi-Fi 7 despite 4 Gbps up & down

Things will eventually load after about 40 seconds. When I go into Connectivity Labs > Wi-Fi Developer Options > Wi-Fi and Network Diagnosis > Network Diagnosis > Run Connectivity Check on the S24, my HTTP and HTTPS probes are consistently around 10,000+ and 40,000+ ms respectively. Certain apps...

    GT-BE98 Pro: 40,000+ ms ping using Wi-Fi 7 despite 4 Gbps up & down

Pings from a wired port are 5 - 7 ms like yours. The speeds and pings are fast and consistent on everything except for Wi-Fi 7. Something about Wi-Fi 7 specifically is causing an insanely high ping and slow connections despite having around 4 Gbps up/down. I haven't seen anyone else report this...
