    After some troubleshooting I ended up finding out that if you turn off the guest netowrk pro default IOT network it breaks DOT. I guess I'll do a feedback to asus. This caused some headache! If I turn it back on then DOT work fine with MLO enabled.

    I had to do a full factory reset after upgrade. DOT would not work. After the rest it worked for a while but then again stopped working. Just odd. Any settings in DOT will simply not connect. I tried google, cloudflare, cleanbrowsing.

    Definitely not a bad idea since the axe16000 has had plenty of firmware updates and you'll be using a 2.5 switch anyway. Wifi 7 will take a long time to become more of a standard anyway everywhere. And if you have no wifi 7 devices anyway, then there is no need to upgrade. It also is not a bad...

    Hmm I am using DOT with nextdns and have had zero issues honestly. I know for me these settings have to be turned to NO: No issues ever since I set it up day one. Just wanted to throw my 2 cents. I even setup controld for testing using DOT and had zero issues.

    The BE98 is the one you want probably for your country where 5Ghz is split into two, not the 6 ghz. BE98 Pro is for the USA I think only. Plus it's probably more wise to wait a while for firmware to mature.

    Honestly the axe16000 was a similar experience and they started releasing firmware updates after a few months so it's nothing surprising.     Yup that's pretty much how I have mine setup. Separate each SSID for different devices. All my cameras and IOT devices are working great. Signal is awesome too.

    Yes I actually sent feedback to asus about that. When you enable ethernet backhaul only 2.4 ghz and 5 ghz band show up, no 6 ghz. AND what it does is overwrite the wifi password for 5 ghz! I had to go back and re-enter it. It would take the 2.4 ghz password use it on the 5 ghz so no clients...

    Without a doubt there is definitely some weird aimesh issues. Like I have the channel selected for 5 ghz but it is still showing auto channel selection. I know its working great but its just not showing it on the webui. Tried clearing cache of my browser too. Curious, did you by any chance...

    I do not use smart connect. But yes I do have clients on the 5 ghz channel on the node that are connected working with no issues.

    Setup my 2nd BE98 Pro in a wired aimesh configuration. Annoying thing it did after enabling ethernet backhaul was changing the 5 ghz wifi password so I had to go enter it manually and reboot some clients for it to connect. After that it's working REALLY well! I am really pleased with this setup...

    It's on backorder now on newegg. Ended up placing order to have a 2nd one for aimesh setup, moving away from the axe16000 router so that I have two BE98 Pro's hardwired. Should probably ship in a week or so (16th). Yay! :D Can't wait to see new firmware updates become available.

    Are others having the same issue as me using ethernet backhaul where the 6ghz bands are simply not showing at all when enabling? It's just strange. Only shows 2.4 and 5 ghz. Aimesh always seems to be the most problematic with a new router release. Not sure if i need to try resetting router again...
