I tried MerVLAN today with ssid's mapped to vlans and it works very well on my RT-AX58U v1 in AP mode. This addon is very useful - thanks :D

I think ssid based vlans could work, unfortunately the unifi is heavily used right now and if i start to tinker with it there will be a lot of screaming :D but i will give merVLAN a try next week when when everyone is out.

I am gonna test and see what can be done with different ssid's. I got a unifi cloud gateway ultra for christmas and fired it up a 2 days ago. Thats why i changed my ax58u from router to AP mode.

If you could do that, mac based vlan tagging from wifi devices it would be supergreat. I have everything on wifi nowadays (no cabling) and separating wifi devices to tagged or untagged vlans based on mac would be really great. I mean i could connect my rt-ax58u with one cable to my router and...

Can you install this on an RT-AX58U in AP mode? and is it possible assign specific wifi devices to vlans based on mac? and get tagged traffic out the wan port?

Merlin 388.11 worked fine i just have the whole weekend off (no overtime) so time to try Asus firmware :D

Installed 25277 this morning, works fine, haven't run Asuswrt fw since Merlin 388.8 over year ago i think.

Still pauses on 10_2 i guess my sony xm5 is to blame.

I went back yo 10_2 after after having troubles with streaming and dual wan. The problems could be caused by "dirty upgrades" so i did a "dirty downgrade" just to see what happens.

I did notice that streaming from youtube via firefox the stream pauses and i have to resume it. Most probably this is a problem at my own end since the apple tv's seams to function without problems.

Ax58u upgraded from beta 11.

Upgraded my ax58u from 10_2 to beta1 and everything works fine.

I am no expert but is it possible to setup all 3 routers as vpn servers and add 2 clients to the other 2 routers on each server? or will it create a loop?

Upgraded from alpha2 and i don't know if it is the placebo effect but i think the gui feels much more snappy.

I noticed one thing with FlexQoS, when i run the Adaptive QoS -> Internet Speed test without flexqos i get line speed on both download and upload but with flexqos, the download is line speed but the upload is limited to the QoS bandwidth setting.
