uiDivStats uiDivstats 4.0.0 - WebUI Stats for Diversion, April 21, 2024

Hi Seems like UiDivStats and taildns are spamming: waiting for NTP to sync ... messages in the System Log, multiple times per minute, if WAN is not connected. I think that's a bit too often, otherwise not that of a big deal.

uiDivStats uiDivStats development version compatible with Diversion 5.0

Nevermind, I reinstalled the updated version as part of new amtm version. GUI is back but ofcourse if this happens again for some reason, I'll report. The router will be moved so there will be more power cycles. Been busy with some other networking stuff I didn't notice it was out for a week.

    Diversion Diversion 5.1.3 - the Router Ad-Blocker, May 09, 2024

Update did not fix. hostslist still empty. Troubleshoot further or just manually fix? That's how it started: Apr 15 12:00:16 Diversion: https://small.oisd.nl/dnsmasq2 is not a valid compatible file format, removing it from the hostslist

uiDivStats uiDivStats development version compatible with Diversion 5.0

Hi, it seems like after I left RT-AX68U idling, rebooted and power cycled several times, there is no more WEBUI page. I wasn't doing anything with the addon, just adjusting some other settings and dealing with changing ethernet cables, swapping devices, normal maintenance stuff. In SSH it says...

    Diversion Diversion 5.1.3 - the Router Ad-Blocker, May 09, 2024

It happened to me right now on RT-AX68U: error hostslist empty or not found ... Some extra info ... the only obvious things I can recall right now was that WAN IPs changed several times, many reconnects, limited connectivity (modem link but no WAN), and the whole router was turned on idling...

Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 3004.388.7 beta is now available

By the way, "Useless information" in the upgraded Sysinfo page seem to only be the Firmware Version, luckly I suppose, that is kinda redundant if the FW version is always present on the top. And the "CPU Frequency" moved to "@ NNNN MHz" at the end of the CPU Model field. Purely logically...

Sorry, there is indeed a "Process Denylist" option there.

Setting up AX68U with Mikrotik ATL LTE18 ...

So I tried logging into the router over WAN and with default authentication/cert settings it's an insecure connection. I also think I had to set Port Mapping on the ATL LTE18 to get it working but surprisingly enough I didn't had to allow the 8443 port through the firewall for some reason...

Setting up AX68U with Mikrotik ATL LTE18 ...

Hello I don't expect or think anything major might happen, it's already working in my test case here. The ATL LTE18 is a Cellular client antenna and modem that converts the 3G/LTE signal to a wired Ethernet connection. However it's the first time I'm dealing with anything Mikrotik or Router OS...

    Diversion Diversion 5.1.3 - the Router Ad-Blocker, May 09, 2024

Sure, but ... This is the result of the first "verify and sort" step in the Edit Denylist menu, without processing. Processing all lists then goes to remove the comments in the "denylist" as well, but if it's the "denylist.conf" that actually gets parsed by dnsmasq and diversion, where comments...

    Diversion Diversion 5.1.3 - the Router Ad-Blocker, May 09, 2024

Hi Slowly converting and adjusting my denylists. Report: the sort and verify function doesn't recognize duplicates if line differs at all, like having a suffix comment. au.download.windowsupdate.com au.download.windowsupdate.com ## COMMENT

uiDivStats uiDivStats development version compatible with Diversion 5.0

Would also be cool if it displayed top requested but allowed domains, excluding blocked. There's also some GUI issues in Pie mode, some spacing issues cutting off the start or the end of the URLs, or inserting comma into ".co,m", but perhaps these may be minor known issues that will be solved in...

uiDivStats uiDivStats development version compatible with Diversion 5.0

Right, I just did, all looking good and installed without error. GUI does seem to work right away, without rebooting the router, it's an RT-AX86UPRO. This is awesome stuff, what an invaluable resource! Now, maybe I'm jumping ahead and asking too much, but could it show stats from before it...

    Diversion Diversion 5.1.3 - the Router Ad-Blocker, May 09, 2024

Right, I quickly suspected the next obvious step, the SCP protocol indeed works, I guess I forgot about that and just kept using SFTP, because Filezilla has no SCP. I think there were some reasons I initially read up on which was perhaps why I kept avoiding SCP.

    Diversion Diversion 5.1.3 - the Router Ad-Blocker, May 09, 2024

I guess I haven't used it in a while, but that shouldn't matter, it was a long time ago when I made that conclusion and stuck with it, never double-checked later. Coincidentially I always used Filezilla initially whenever I would reinstall the whole setup (like when there's downtime for various...

uiDivStats uiDivStats development version compatible with Diversion 5.0

You mean the "new/dev version" isn't available through amtm? I read through this thread before posting so I'm aware of some of the background but not everything. Because the uiDivStats is "available" with j5 for me, I just didn't hit confirm to install and exited. I guess either it errors out...

uiDivStats uiDivStats development version compatible with Diversion 5.0

So this is stil development? When trying to install via AMTM it doesn't show which version it's going to install (which might be so for most scripts?) Github's page shows release 2021 ... I'll look more into it later, but this whole statistics thing is actually and idea I had and wanted to post...

    Diversion Diversion 5.1.3 - the Router Ad-Blocker, May 09, 2024

The first thing I install on a fresh Asuswrt-Merlin FW with Entware is the openssh-sftp-server, then use Filezilla or WinSCP to edit lists manually via filesystem ... sometimes I forget to install the package, being so used to it thinking it's already installed as per default! The error...

    Diversion Diversion 5.1.3 - the Router Ad-Blocker, May 09, 2024

Hi Diversion or rather Dnsmasq's logging now reports same exact message irrespective of which list the rule came from, making it harder to quickly glance over whether it comes from the built-in/3rd-party supplied blockinglist or my own personal denylist, could Diversion fix this or it's a...

Diversion apparently blocks domains not included in any list

So it's like *domain* ...? Interesting ... oh by the way excuse me I've updated the previous post with more information but a bit later than I intended. ---- Also one other thing: I think I see a small shortcoming with the dnsmasq logs now, it doesn't report which of the block/deny list an...
