    BCM4916 process node?

Is there a reason for using -e 8 instead of -e 4? Those CPUs are only Quad cores without hyperthreading. Also I saw someone used ./stress-ng --cpu 4 -t 300 to stress test their ASUS router with stock firmware in a video, not sure how he did it, I can't get stress-ng working on mine.

    Apple Wi-Fi updated and MU-MIMO

Hmmm, no under-screen fingerprint reader, doesn't allow sideload apps (before the EU compelled Apple to allow it), no swipe back from the right side, slow charging speed, I think the list goes on and on. Apple also doesn't support 160MHz on M1 MacBook Pro/iPad back in the day, now their new M4...

    Apple Wi-Fi updated and MU-MIMO

Hmmm, I don’t know. On the ‘Wireless Log’ page, the MUBF status of my iPhone 15 Pro Max is listed as ‘No’. May I ask where you got that screenshot?

    Apple Wi-Fi updated and MU-MIMO

Right. That sounds like something only Apple can do🤣

    Apple Wi-Fi updated and MU-MIMO

Also, it seems like apple doesn't support MU-Beamforming, maybe it's a patent related issue as well?

    BCM4916 process node?

Thank you! That’s roughly 60°C if the ambient temperature is at 25°C. It’s surprising to see your AX88U Pro is cooler than the AXE16000 posted by the others earlier, as the latter is bigger and in theory should have better thermal performance.

    BCM4916 process node?

Hmmm, interesting. Maybe it has something to do with the workload of his router. But I guess if you are getting 64c, it’s still quite possible that Broadcom has moved to a newer node to manufacture the BCM4916.

    BCM4916 process node?

Thanks for sharing. I assume you are on stock firmware? Merlin is using his custom firmware, so I won't be surprised that his CPU temperature is higher than normal.

    BCM4916 process node?

Thanks. Yes, I know there are quite a lot of variables, but it's still good to see that the temperature of my BE98 is lower, rather than higher, thanks to the new thermal design and possible node shrink.

    BCM4916 process node?

The CPU Temperature I got for my BE98 (BCM4916) is 61.021 at idle, using the command : Wondering if you or anyone with AXE16000 (BCM4912) would like to share their CPU temperature. Thanks. My Room Temperature is at 25 degrees Celsius with Humidity at 50% (and pressure at 1023hPa).

    ASUS GT-BE98 Firmware version 3.0.0.6.102_34372 - 2024/04/23

I think you can only disable that IoT SSID in Guest Network Pro; ASUS doesn’t allow you to delete it for now. If it bothers you, you can get rid of it by performing a factory reset.

    BE98 Latency

And this is what I get with my £699 BE98:

    BE98 Latency

To make this even funnier, this is the lantency when using the free router comes with the fiber plan.

    BE98 Hardware Ver

Thank you. Are we able to learn about the changes through the FCC’s official website? I got the NVRAM files for both routers, and there are quite a few differences.

    BE98 Hardware Ver

Thanks! I thought there were improvements, how disappointing😶‍🌫️

    BE98 Hardware Ver

Hi guys, I just got myself another BE98, and the HW version on the new one is 2.0, which is newer than my previous BE98 (HW Version 1.0). What difference does this make?

    BE98 DNS over TLS Problem

I just realized that this issue might be hardware related. I got another BE98, the hardware rev is 2.0 instead of 1.0 on my previous BE98, and DNS over TLS works perfectly. Edit: Not really. DNS Over TLS is still broken on the newer device.

    ASUS GT-BE98 Firmware version 3.0.0.6.102_34372 - 2024/04/23

Sorry, I don't fully understand your request, you want to remove the legacy network? I'm not sure how that works.

    ASUS GT-BE98 Firmware version 3.0.0.6.102_34372 - 2024/04/23

In theory, you should not connect to the IoT band unless the client device is an IoT device or a legacy device that only supports WEP/WPA1. As the MLO band offers either lower latency, higher throughput, or more reliable transmission depending on the mode of the MLO (EMLSR/STR/NSTR) that the AP...

    ASUS GT-BE98 Firmware version 3.0.0.6.102_34372 - 2024/04/23

I think it’s just that the MLO needs some time to warm up every time you reboot the router. They should probably hide the SSID broadcast for a few more seconds after rebooting avoid this issue. Just out of curiosity, what did you change in the settings? I don’t think there’s anything you can...
