RT-AC88u jffs mount problem Merlin Firmware.

I have been trying to install entware on merlin v380.57 firmware on my new router, but keep on getting no such dir or file. So I decided to reformat the jffs using the option in administration, but when the router is rebooted properly, under tools it shows jffs unmounted. I have tried rebooting and searching on the net for mounting commands to no aval. My traffic analysis is broken and when I tried to switch it on, it exits out of the router for a relogin.
Can someone help me remount the jffs partition as it has crippled my router in various functions. Tried for two days now. Even on asus official firmware traffic analysis is broken. I really want it back.

I am new to these forums and have serious issues with my router after trying entware.
My router jumps me out of any changes that I make. Also the traffic analyser does the same thing with 0 clients. Completely blank. I dont know how I can get out of this problem without binning this router. Even on official firmware it does the same thing.
Ps: I have searched the forums to no aval.

Try using the routers IP address rather than its name. It would often throw me back to the login screen if I used its dns name e.g. router, asusrouter.

Also try to reset to factory defaults.

Try the alpha firmware and go back to factory defaults. 380.58

entware works for me on usb. I haven't tried on jffs.

I have already done that. What I need is a jffs mount command. I think the nvram is off limits to the os. I have flashed and factory defaulted on all available firmware. I am pulling my hair out on this. My rt-ac68u is running fine, with entware and transmission to boot. I was hoping the same for the rt-ac88u.

nvram set jffs2_enable=0
nvram set jffs2_format=0
nvram commit
reboot

after the reboot completes

nvram set jffs2_enable=1
nvram set jffs2_format=1
nvram commit
reboot

I tried that. It is the wps button that puts it into a fast flash mode. The reset button puts it into a slow flash mode. I am afraid that that didnt work either. sigh!

One thing that I have noticed is that the nvram usage is getting greater with every reset and format. Very strange. If I could really force to wipe it, it might come ok as all reset and wps methods have failed.
Does anyone know of a forced wipe command for nvram. ?. ....

I see you are still using router.asus.com. Try the IP address e.g. 192.168.x.x

The firmware will often randomly kick you out unless you do so.

I have always used 192.168.1.1. I never go to the url.

Try to rescue the router with asus tool and latest asus fw then flash merlins and reset
