    RT-BE92U

Sigh. Well guess I just keep using my EOL AC86U then 🤡

    RT-BE92U

Hi! I know Merlin can't say if any more Wifi7 models will be supported but I just wanted to ask if there is a specific reason that would make RT-BE92U to NEVER be supported? I have seen it on sale several times now and it seems like an interesting midrange triple-band Wifi7 model. Thanks

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.10 is now available for AC models

If you have a HDD connected and shared then it is normal for the RAM to fill up. That's how it used to work anyway. Dismount the HDD and the ram usage goes down again. Some other services can also leads to ram jumping up, like using the Asus app on your phone.

    Asuswrt-Merlin 380.57 is now available

Thank you for the info! Some interesting read there. So I guess hoping that Asus will fix it or I might consider a different brand next. This seems like something Asus should have tested more before releasing to public. Having the NAS HDDs starting up 24 times per day for no reason adds up.

    Asuswrt-Merlin 380.57 is now available

This happens to me as well with several of the latest Asus and Merlin firmware. At the start of EVERY hour my Synology NAS HDDs wake up from sleep. I've gone back to a year old Asus firmware for now that keeps my NAS asleep all day if not accessed, tired of testing...

NTP service wakes my NAS HDDs from sleep every hour?

Thanks for the info! But does the networkmap always poll exactly at the start of every hour and only then? I have set the time to 30 min inactivity before the drives spin down and I can see them stop every hour, stand still for 25-30 min (or whatever is left until the hour changes) and then...

NTP service wakes my NAS HDDs from sleep every hour?

Yes, that’s what I'm thinking as well. DHCP is not the problem though because I have a fixed IP set in both the NAS and Router (also, lease time is 1 day as per default I belive). The reason I suspect NTP is because the Asus firmware had a bug giving an NTP event message in the system log and...

NTP service wakes my NAS HDDs from sleep every hour?

RT-AC66U: Unfortunately the new NTP service in later firmware from both Asus and Merlin seems to be responsible for waking up my Synology NAS hard-drives from sleep at the start of every hour. Is there anything I can do about this or am I doomed to use old firmware forever? If I revert back...
