Asus AXE1600 3.0.0.6.102_36382 broken dual wan

I was using Merlin with script but WAN started flapping even after reset + reinit. Both WAN links. Threw on stock & been on it since. Waiting for next Merlin release before jumping back on. Thank you to all. Agree, the 3006 update seems to be pretty big & for me buggy with very little...

Asus AXE1600 3.0.0.6.102_36382 broken dual wan

Flashing previous firmware > could not add any aimesh nodes. Decided on a clean break > used the same method I did previously, just this time I had to contend with absolutely broken restoration mode as well😞 cried for a few minutes before getting on with it.

Asus AXE1600 3.0.0.6.102_36382 broken dual wan

Thank you Indi. Bit the bullet had went through the process, some notes for anyone who goes through the same issue: 1. Firmware recovery mode was broken, no IP being assigned by router to its local interface 2. Reset + reinit ticked reset the box. Set up a router. 3. Flash older firmware > reset...

Hey, Asus AXE1600, upgraded to recently released 3.0.0.6.102_36382 firmware. WAN links became unstable, so full reset / restored entire network. WAN links - stable again. Issue. Dual WAN no longer works. In WAN > Internet Connection tab > WAN Index > Want Type > if I select 10G Ethernet or...

AXE1600 Merlin with external USB drive. How to configure?

Hello. Asus AXE1600 running 3004.388.8_4 current latest. Tried looking at previous posts, could not find simple guide to get me started. I've connected an external USB drive. It's detected in Asus GUI fine. 1. What format should I use? GUI has FAT/NTFS/HFS. I've seen other posts with people...

Considering Upgrading from AC5300 to AXE16000

ASUS ZenWiFi Pro XT12. These are WiFi 6, not WiFi 6e routers. There is also ET12 which have 6e instead of the 5.1 band 2. ET12s are good for wired backhaul aimesh. Wireless XT12s are better. Google dongknows - he has good write ups on most of the decent Asus routers.

    Configuration Asus XT12 & Modem

What ISP & device model is your router? Example, if your with Virgin Media, you can put it into Modem mode. Depends on the modem setup.

Considering Upgrading from AC5300 to AXE16000

Owned AX11k and current have AXE16K + 3x XT12s. WiFi 6e is next to useless, really low range same speed as Wifi6. Don't consider 6e for backhaul, tried is and returned the 6e setup > just marketing crap. If your doing wired backhaul then, 6e is good if your very close to the router. For wireless...

    GT-AXE16000 dual WAN failover mode

I had a similar issue with Sky modem/wifi boxes, Virgin media (not in modem mode) and a few more. I always set the core network to 192.168.4x/5x/6/x7.0/24. Not sure of the rest of your setup, might be easier to change the AXE16k LAN network? My thought process is to get the WAN links working as...
