    Collection of ASUS router icons

Any way to SSH into the router and save icons to it, I assume there is a directory somewhere on it where the existing icons are saved? (edit: meaning, save directly to the router vs using something like YazDHCP to backup)

YazDHCP YazDHCP - feature expansion of DHCP assignments (increasing limit on the number of DHCP reservations)

@Jack Yaz just here to say happy new year and thank you for this addon. Switch and router crapped out the last week and I had to go through and manually reenter a ton of reservations. Now using this tool and realizing just how darn easy it makes things going forward!

Mounting an SSD drive...can't find it via SSH?

Decided to give the NVRAM save/restore utility a go as I have too many DHCP reservations and it's a pain to retype them all when I have to reset the router, get a new one, etc. Struggling at step 1, which is actually locating the USB drive on my router. When I SSH in via WinSCP, go to root...

Trying to combine two switches is driving me insane...loopback?

Was definitely something in the Asus router itself. Last minute (had people coming over) I decided to pull a second Asus router I was using in my backyard as an AP (not being used in winter) and restored it to default. Then went through the painful process of retyping my 30 or so DHCP...

Not following, how would I do that?

Trying to combine two switches is driving me insane...loopback?

So I removed the POE switch, left the main switch. Still have connectivity issues. Lagging/disconnects across devices. If I plug a laptop directly into the port on the router next to the port I’m using for the switch. I get amazing internet speeds on the laptop without issue. Makese wonder...

Trying to combine two switches is driving me insane...loopback?

Okay, bought these unmanaged routers: Netgear 16 POE GS316PP Netgear GS234 Connected each router via their last Port (16 on the POE, 24 on the non-POE, though I don't think it matters?) directly to the Asus ports. Turned off my router, unplugged the old switches. Inserted the new ones...

Trying to combine two switches is driving me insane...loopback?

Would this switch.. https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B0C2JLGLWQ?tag=smallncom-20 Work well with this unmanaged one? https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B08QDVSWX4?tag=smallncom-20

Trying to combine two switches is driving me insane...loopback?

Wasn’t an inexpensive switch either, given it’s not managed. $200 Canadian. I don’t understand what Port Isolation does or what V vs S is in the switch as the manual is junk. But I wonder if the BV-Tech switch is just in some different default setting and won’t play well with the YuanLey...

Trying to combine two switches is driving me insane...loopback?

I can’t even access wifi in any SSID (my APs or my router itself).

Trying to combine two switches is driving me insane...loopback?

Have the most recent Merlin firmware on the ASUS FWIW. Rebooted everything. Kept the BV-Tech switch off. Man, flipping the switch away from Port Isolation completely messes everything up. Just intermittent internet access to everything connected to the YuanLey switch. Have never seen anything...

Trying to combine two switches is driving me insane...loopback?

Actually I take it back. Lol. I think my laptop was still connected to the BV switch when it looked like everything was working. With the dip switch on Standard … nothing is working properly. Internet seems to be coming in and out of devices intermittently.

Trying to combine two switches is driving me insane...loopback?

I think that was it. I changed the Dip switch to Standard on the YuanLey. Now I can use both switches attached via their uplink ports to the ASUS router. Weird. Why or how would port isolation on the YuanLey actually block the ASUS from being able to connect to the second switch via its uplink...

Trying to combine two switches is driving me insane...loopback?

Good eye. So the BV-Tech one I have must be an older version. No dip switches on it. But the YuanLey has one. It is set to V which reads to be “port isolation mode” instead of standard mode. Manual doesn’t say what it does. At least the one that came with the device. Will google it.

Trying to combine two switches is driving me insane...loopback?

Hmmm...okay...a bit more "progress" I guess? If I connect my laptop directly to the BV-Tech switch (so again, Asus port to the YuanLey Uplink port, then from a regular port on the YuanLey into the BV-Tech uplink port) I can then access the web GUI for a couple security cameras that are...
