Did you solve you problem of getting a connection in your Shop? I've read your post at least twice now, because i have an almost idential situation i'm currently addressing. I'm even using the same Linksys router you have. Though i did try the Linksys Extender for better receiption in the houses more remote locations... it won't give me enough reach to hit the my shop though.
