Struggling with Asus ZenWiFi BE30000 aka 3 node BQ16 Pro bundle

Thank you for a detailed report. I have since updated my devices too and they seem to work fine, so I think yours is either a coincidence or an isolated case. Indeed, the BQ16/Pro has been a frustrating experience for early adopters (me included), but the worst part is that a/ there is no...

Struggling with Asus ZenWiFi BE30000 aka 3 node BQ16 Pro bundle

Has anyone tried the 3.0.0.6.102_36934 fw already, how is it going?

Struggling with Asus ZenWiFi BE30000 aka 3 node BQ16 Pro bundle

Incredible, really, that it took more than a year to sort out critical issues for a flagship product - but still, kudos to Asus for sorting it out. Given how slow Merlin's FW development for WiFi 7 devices has been (not a critique, just an observation), it's more essential than ever that the...

Struggling with Asus ZenWiFi BE30000 aka 3 node BQ16 Pro bundle

New firmware for BQ16 available https://www.snbforums.com/threads/asus-zenwifi-bq16-firmware-version-3-0-0-6_102_36909-2025-03-11.94076/ Since I seem to be among the few happy users with the previous firmware, I will hold off from updating myself for now.

Struggling with Asus ZenWiFi BE30000 aka 3 node BQ16 Pro bundle

In my case both are connected to the main node, but from prior experience with Asus AI (XT12s) they should work in daisy-mode just as well too.

Struggling with Asus ZenWiFi BE30000 aka 3 node BQ16 Pro bundle

The thread title says so, but in fact due to how close the 2 models are, it has been a thread for both for a long-long time

Struggling with Asus ZenWiFi BE30000 aka 3 node BQ16 Pro bundle

@kraken206 Nope, mine (1 router and 2 nodes of BQ16s) still running v solid with no tinkering involved.

Same settings in my system. Maybe the selection is related to MLO configuration? Otherwise seems like a strange limitation imo. To confirm after another 10 days - the system is v stable and I am a happy bunny.

Struggling with Asus ZenWiFi BE30000 aka 3 node BQ16 Pro bundle

@JohnNadeau Mine is still A1. I have renamed devices before with no issues (had 3 done at a time), might try more later. I have 'Auto' only for 2.4GHz Wireless Mode Drop Down, I think 'it's a feature, not a bug'... Tbh I am for once happy not to have to fiddle with any options since it seems...

Struggling with Asus ZenWiFi BE30000 aka 3 node BQ16 Pro bundle

I did not reset my iPhone, but I did reset the 2 routers during set up (as unavoidably both had to be set up as 'main' routers first in order to get updated - the FW was not available on the website at that point, so it had to be done via UI). Yes, no issues with my family's iPhones 15/14/13...

Sorry, what is iPhone PM? I used the quick 'press and hold the reset button' method.

Struggling with Asus ZenWiFi BE30000 aka 3 node BQ16 Pro bundle

My update on BQ16: After running 3.0.0.6.102_36869 for 8 full days of uptime, I must say I am now extremely impressed with this router, it's nothing short of a transformative experience. What I did after this F/W was released: take 2 brand-new BQ16s, update each one separately to the latest...
