YazDHCP YazDHCP - feature expansion of DHCP assignments (increasing limit on the number of DHCP reservations)

Right, I got that wrong. I was referring to a 64-bit MAC address, and confused a long MAC addr with a IPv6 addr.

YazDHCP YazDHCP - feature expansion of DHCP assignments (increasing limit on the number of DHCP reservations)

For IPv6. I have it disabled in its tab. But I also have YazDHCP 1.0.6 installed. Someone, maybe YazDHCP, is still handing out an IP address to my Pixel8a phone when presented with an IPv6 MAC address. How do I disable IPv6 DHCP in all places? I suspect my phone will default to its IPv4...

Cake is Disabled, even though it is Selected

Thanks, that makes no sense, but I'll toggle the option and monitor what it does. Thanks for your help in sorting this out.

Cake is Disabled, even though it is Selected

I started disabling add-ins to see if any might cause this problem. I started with renaming connmon so it would not run. So far, after about 4 hrs, every time I go to the MerlinQoS tab, I see that cake is running. Also when I run the tc command, there are always 2 entries in that table for...

Cake is Disabled, even though it is Selected

This is interesting. I just did the tc qdisc command again, and saw this output. qdisc noqueue 0: dev lo root refcnt 2 qdisc cake 9775: dev eth0 root refcnt 2 bandwidth 18432Kbit diffserv4 dual-srchost nat nowash no-ack-filter split-gso rtt 100ms noatm overhead 0 qdisc ingress ffff: dev eth0...

Cake is Disabled, even though it is Selected

I just saw the message again when I went to the CakeQoS-Merlin tab. But when I went to check it again, the message was gone and the screen had the QoS stats as is normal. At that point, I ran the tc qdisc command, and here is what I saw. But this might have been too late to capture the event...

Cake is Disabled, even though it is Selected

No, I do not use spdMerlin. Like I said, I should have reported this with previous Merlin versions, but I have seen this issue for a number of previous releases.

Cake is Disabled, even though it is Selected

My Speedtest is: Those parameters are well within my bandwidth. So, is Cake really getting disabled periodically? If so, why? Should I be running a user script to check the Cake status periodically, every 5 min, and enable if it is disabled?

Cake is Disabled, even though it is Selected

I've run into this with previous Merlin f/w versions, but since it is happening with my AX86U Pro with 4.4, then I thought I'd post to see if there is a solution. I have Cake enabled in the QoS screen. Sometimes when I go to the CakeQOS_Merlin screen, I get this that says Cake is not...

    Unbound settings overwritten

Thanks for sharing. I would not have thought that setting would be in the amtm file.

    USB Scanner

In order to make a USB scanner available on a home network, has anyone successfully done this using the USB port on their router, with either stock or Merlin firmware? If yes, are the instructions for doing that available somewhere?

    AI Mesh vs AP

I run my mesh node thru a managed switch (actually 2), so that works fine. But what you have to do is initially link the mesh node to your main router while it is in close proximity to each other, directly connected to each other via hard wire, and not going thru the switch. Once that link is...

MerlinAU MerlinAU v1.2.6 - The Ultimate Firmware Auto-Updater (AVAILABLE IN AMTM) **Thread closed due to age**

I just installed this script via amtm, then tried to change the update schedule. It failed. See the attached screenshot.

AC68U Firmware Update for DNS Fix

Oops!! I am so used to Merlin's version that I wrongly assumed Asus carried it forward to their stock firmwares. So as been pointed out, for my use case, I do not need this done.
