Nice. Fixed my CLI situation instantly.

    Diversion Diversion 5.4.3 - the Router Ad-Blocker, February 03, 2025

Nothing unusual - just some of the most 'usual' amtm add-ons. However because uiDivStats had the "opposite" type of problem (WebGUI page looks good but a bug with the CLI), @Martinski pointed out I probably have issues with Entware utility versions being picked up due to PATH issues and yep...

    Diversion Diversion 5.4.3 - the Router Ad-Blocker, February 03, 2025

Installing uiDivStats today made me look at Diversion this morning and my WebUI is a bit hinky. Intended Victim: RT-AX68U with Merlin 388.8.4 long time running Diversion and various amtm things fine. WebUI page: Does not show 'enabled', despite CLI showing everything fine No count numbers...

uiDivStats uiDivstats 4.0.9 - WebUI Stats for Diversion, Feb. 12, 2025

Tried installing 4.0.7 today with some hiccups. Intended Victim is RT-AX68U with Merlin 388.8.4, Entware, latest amtm and Diversion, handful of add-ons, etc. etc. Install seems to go perfectly well but then menu shows something is not correct. During install it says its setting up...

Custom client Icon & Names broken still/again in GUI?

I had that initial thought Dave but no I checked that immediately. This is too widespread anyway (too many dumb old devices that could never do that, not just for instance iOS devices trying to disguise themselves), but yes I looked at the MAC addresses. But yeah thanks for suggestion...

Custom client Icon & Names broken still/again in GUI?

RT-AX68U with Merlin 3004.388.8_4 All has been totally well but I only just noticed Custom Icons and Names seem completely broken? No ideal how long this has been as I don't look that often. This was working fine for long time. All I can find in a search is mentions of the Asus official...

    Release ASUS RT-AC66U B1 / RT-AC1900(P) Firmware version 3.0.0.4.386_51720 (2024/11/13)

FWIW I have AC66U-B1 as an AiMesh node. When I tried to update FW to this 51720 version repeatedly- it kept coming up as the old FW 1668. Checked via SSH even to confirm that sysinfo was reporting that properly and wasn't a web interface thing. After a hard power down reboot the FW version...

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 3004.388.8_4 is now available

AX68U upgraded fine. My AiMesh node seems to be either refusing the OE Asus update or not reporting the update properly but that's a different story.

    AiMesh Binding erratic?

First of all thats a typo. Fixed it in the post. Needs an opening angle bracket. sta_binding_list=<AA:AA:AA:AA:AA:AA>1> Second, I have no idea if that will help you, for your symptom some clients - particularly older hardware - resist "steering" to nodes so it might be that - maybe the client...

    AiMesh Binding erratic?

Also interesting: My AIMesh network is now behaving demonstrably differently. Very odd. I get more clients reguarly roaming to my slave node than I've ever seen. I would generally say this is 'better' but it wasn't like I had trouble before I just saw most clients reluctant to associate on...

    AiMesh Binding erratic?

Interesting. Did you ever try the Asus mobile app? When my system was broken it wouldn't bind from the mobile app either (due to the sta_binding_list being all filled up I believe). In your case the mobile app should have actually worked.

    AiMesh Binding erratic?

Yeah no thats not right. When you click on the "chain link" you should get something like this (my network obv your nodes will be different). Are you sure you're clicking right on the bind icon? If you click anywhere else you get that 'device info' page. I wouldn't manually eff with the...

    AiMesh Binding erratic?

Yeah OK solved. Just needed more research. nvram setting sta_binding_list apparently has a character limit. When it hits the limit all the bindings break. This is about 8-9 device bindings which I didn't think I had but maybe I did add more fixed-location-device bindings than I thought at...

    AiMesh Binding erratic?

Its weird because it used to work. I have one device that shows the bind icon (click on it & it claims it will unbind that device) properly. Then I have 3-4 other devices that USED to Bind properly and these are all listed in the "Roaming Block List" (and I did NOT add them there manually I...
