Am I gonna have to sell my RT-BE92U

So I decided to get 5 gigs with Frontier Internet hey $80 for 5 gigs for 12 months why not... I have Cat 6 ethernet cable from ONT to RT-BE92U router, Frontier representative has confirmed that my speed has been provision to 5 gigs down and 5 gigs up. He also claims that if I wanted constant 5 gigs through my single story home I need to use their router BS right???

My current testing device to test speed is my OnePlus 13 which supports WiFi 7 supports 320 Mhz, near router I got 3064 down and 1710 up, a few ft away is my room I got 1430 down and freaking 657 upload WTF, none of that represents 5 gigs down 5 gigs up... Does this RT-BE92U router suck? and should just sell it and get the ASUS RT-BE86U or the fact that I'm near the Naval Base also has something to do with my speeds here?

Oh I have Cloudflare ipv4 dns on the router

Btw I know everyone's environment is different but I do know OnePlus 13 can easily do 3500+ download and 3500+ uploads here

What are your expectations? A single device will max out a 5Gbit connection over WiFi? You were happy for a couple days until you decided to make yourself unhappy again.
Really that's the answer you want to provide I'm looking for a educated answer... I literally provided proof about my download speeds and showing how awful my uploads are I bet someone else is going to provide a smart educated answer like "yeah living near the Naval Base could be causing problems etc"

It was an educated question: what speedtest results would have been acceptable over WiFi? What are the theoretical and practical max throughputs of WiFi 7 for a single device? I don’t know, since I don’t have WiFi 7 anything.

But since you asked, it might be beneficial for you to walk over to the Naval base and enlist for a few years to rebuild yourself and perhaps see if they have better WiFi over there. :)

I’ll be quiet now.

Have you tested with a cable connection? What "features" have you enabled? What other settings have you changed? What firmware? What's running in the background on your phone? You've not really disclosed a lot of essential info so we can only guess.

I don't have a computer to test with Ethernet and I don't have one of those USB C to Ethernet adapters that can do 5gigs etc... I have one but only does 1gig and I also don't know what's my phones max speeds with such 5 gig adapter....

Features I got the AiProtection on, qos off
Firmware installed latest from Asus installed last night

When I do WiFi speed test no other app is running except the speed test app....

May be better to just do what the ISP tech suggested - use their router and get the guaranteed up to 5 Gbit/s throughout the house ;)
I low key wanna test this because I'll be damn if it ends up giving me exactly what I'm paying for and if it does then why aren't we all using ISP equipment???????????

I'm hoping it doesn't tho so I can call the tech a lier lol

Turn off AiProtection and withdraw from license ( forget what they call it exactly). You have to do both. Maybe that will give you back enough overhead. Reboot.

You could do a factory hard reset and just configure the bare minimum and test.

I turn off AiProtection and withdraw from the two policies on Policy tab
