    [ALPHA] 386.9_alpha1 for WiFi 5 (802.11ac) Models (GT-AC2900, RT-AC68U, and RT-AC86U)

Never mind...;-) So, removed foot from mouth, applied update, works like a charm both with and without Nord VPN. Only missing piece was the IPv6 function. That never worked in NATIVE, but I don't use it due to Nord being required from time to time...

Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 388.1 Beta is available for select models

Does RT-AX58U Beta 3 support GS-AX3000-supposedly the same hardware? I have a friend who is trying to capture a deal today. I've searched with no definitive result... NEVER MIND...ANSWER FOUND: Mar 30, 2022 From Merlin No, that uses its own model-specific firmware.

Cable Modem Diagnostics Page Scripts Blocked - In 386.7 and 386.7.1 only

This is what I'm thinking. I'm going to use a little patience on this one, since I do have modem access in a crunch. Hopefully, ASUS/Merlin will find the lasting solution... Thanks, all!!

Cable Modem Diagnostics Page Scripts Blocked - In 386.7 and 386.7.1 only

Thanks for thinking this one over. I will do a reset, but I think it is just gonna have to be lived with for now. The moment that I rewire the modem directly to the PC, access works as before while using the router. I don't have the chops to figure this one out...thankfully, a rarity for me.

Cable Modem Diagnostics Page Scripts Blocked - In 386.7 and 386.7.1 only

I did exactly that, trying the address with the router only configured enough to let me access GUI... Also, comcast doesn't use PPPoE connection with for my ISP. I'm at a loss...

Cable Modem Diagnostics Page Scripts Blocked - In 386.7 and 386.7.1 only

Tried everything here-Factory resets, ASUS stock trx, rollback to 386.5.2, then back to factory default reset on 7.2...nothing allowed access to 192.168.100.1 . The only way to access the netgear cable modem at that address is to plug the modem into the pc, totally bypassing the router. Then...

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.7 is now available for all models

I know, Eric! The only thing that changed was the install of the test build. When I went back to the stable build, all cleared up??? I don't have, nor did I add a DNSFilter? There was absolutely no change in configuration when the weirdness started, other than IPv6 on/off and VPN on/off...

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.7 is now available for all models

So I tried the test build, but got really bad degradation of overall security and no increase in IPv6 connectivity scores as follows: *-Total fail of rootcanary test ( https://rootcanary.org/test.html ) *-Failed DNSSEC Resolver Test ( https://dnssec.vs.uni-due.de/ ) *-Failure of DNSSEC secure (...

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.7 is now available for all models

40 years as a pilot for USMC & Delta. Aviation sectional or wac charts will have the relevant data, and a google search will yield results for most anywhere in the USA/Canada...

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.7 is now available for all models

So, I've the same router and did a dirty upgrade from 386.7_beta2. The stable release went without a single hitch, and my internet speeds both with and without VPN active using the router are the best EVER! Thanks for a slick upgrade, Eric!!!

Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 386.7 Beta is now available

If an ISP provider restriction (Comcast) were correct, then I don't see how I am accessing it when I connect a PC directly to the modem?? I'm stumped!?

Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 386.7 Beta is now available

Mask is correct, but the IP range is: IP Pool Starting Address 192.168.1.2 IP Pool Ending Address 192.168.1.254

Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 386.7 Beta is now available

So, one bit of weirdness persists in this latest: 'The last 4 updates to the software have prevented accessing the modem through the router at address: 192.168.100.1 This address had been easily accessible without the need to hardwire the computer to the modem to do so. If I go through that...

    RT-AC5300 with 386.5_2

So, I've got the speed back by dropping just QOS. The DNS server thing was/is a Nord problem, best as I can determine. Only thing left now is to restore the ability to get to the modem gui at 192.168.100.1...

No, I did it manually, but may do it again...

    RT-AC5300 with 386.5_2

So there is just a few bits of weirdness currently going on with my router: 1. With router reset to factory via the gui, I get full speed (equal to modem/computer direct test) from my modem/router combo. After my fairly simple config is loaded, I'm losing 250mbps? With nothing set, 950mbps...
