New models to be introduced with 3006.102.2

All true but I held out a few more months on an ac1900 device to get the RT-BE88U instead of the RT-AX88U Pro. I am extremely happy. Best port config of any "ordinary" consumer AIO device, 20% faster per band, and MLO. Even without MLO I can almost saturate my 2 gig fiber connection. 1.9gbps to...

Why are MLO-enabled networks usually guest networks?

I've noticed multiple companies' new Wi-Fi 7 routers create an alternate MLO-enabled "guest" or virtual SSID when you turn on MLO. Non-Wi-Fi 7 devices all seem to be able to connect to this MLO SSID with no detriment. Why isn't the main SSID MLO-enabled? Why the need for a separate virtual SSID?

Asus RT-BE88U support in AsusWrt Merlin

RT-BE88U MLO network visible to non-MLO devices?

I expected MLO networks to be invisible to non-Wifi 7 devices. 2 questions: Is this something Asus does or is it true of all MLO networks? If this is just how MLO networks work, why isn't the main SSID MLO-enabled? Why is MLO a virtual SSID under Guest Network Pro? I've heard this is how...
