    GT-BE98 Vs Pro model

Hi mate, I've had my GT-BE98 for a few months now too, but I'm on stock ASUS firmware. I'm thinking of flashing Gnuton's firmware but wondering what benefits I'll see over the stock ASUS firmware?

    GT-BE98 Vs Pro model

Yeah, just noticed I made an error in my reply, what I meant to say was: The GT-BE98 'standard' has a single 2.4GHz radio, 2x5GHz radios and a single 6GHz radio and is to be used outside of the USA where the full 6GHz spectrum is not currently available.

    GT-BE98 Vs Pro model

Hey The GT-BE98 'standard' has a single 2.4GHz radio, 2x5GHz radios and a single 6GHz radio and is to be used outside of the USA where the 6GHz spectrum is not currently available. The GT-BE98 'Pro' has a single 2.4GHz radio, a single 5GHz radio and 2x6GHz radios and is to be used in the USA...

I think my BE98 might be dying?! (Edit: It's fine)

OK, interesting thing when re-setting up MLO - I think it had been configured incorrectly previously. Now, I don't know if this was me or if it was the wizard (I suspect it was me!) but I had previously noticed that I had multiple 'Access Points' for each radio on MLO if I looked in WiFiMan. I...

I think my BE98 might be dying?! (Edit: It's fine)

It was just the fact the router died on its arse while in use - I've restored an earlier version of my settings and all is good again. Very strange, looking forward to an updated firmware...

I think my BE98 might be dying?! (Edit: It's fine)

Update - looks like it's something to do with MLO as my other SSID's seem unaffected 🤦

I think my BE98 might be dying?! (Edit: It's fine)

So, I was working from home earlier when all of my WiFi connected devices suddenly went down. The BE98 was showing power but all radio LED's were unlit. I powered it off using the switch on the back and switched it back on after about 30 seconds, it started back up and all appeared well...

    MLO performance and Limitations

Well here's my real world experience using MLO. I have 3 MLO capable devices, my S24 Ultra and 2 gaming PC's I've retro-fitted with Intel BE200 cards. Now the PC's are running the Intel 23.60.1 driver they are running MLO correctly. 1 PC is on the 1st floor (middle floor) of our 3 story...

Solved Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra Doesn't Detect 6Ghz Band on Wifi Router

Update: Since receiving the June update on my S24U I haven't had a single disconnect. I don't know if it is actually the Samsung update or if I just haven't actually been using the phone when it has been disconnected however.

Asus GT-BE98 Forgets Wifi Password (except guest)

I've seen it recommended to disable Universal Beamforming in other threads so have done this on my BE98. I have WiFi 7 devices and am using MLO so I personally won't be disabling that. I don't think these have any effect on the password invalid issue after a restart however. If it was a WiFi 7...

    GT-BE98 WIFI 7

You should be able to find the firmware hosted on ASUS's support pages I'd hope, the router should allow you to install firmware from a USB stick or via the web interface? Just did a quick Google search and found this link which may help you...

Solved Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra Doesn't Detect 6Ghz Band on Wifi Router

Well, I'm more than happy to keep tinkering and testing! Please feel free to DM me if you want to compare set ups or configurations etc 👍 At the moment, I'm hoping for a firmware update on the router-side to see if it makes any difference - only because the S24U has had multiple updates and the...

Asus GT-BE98 Forgets Wifi Password (except guest)

I work in the software support sphere and this type of response to a customer is very disappointing - if our staff responded like this they would be reprimanded.

Solved Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra Doesn't Detect 6Ghz Band on Wifi Router

Update: I had a similar disconnect during the day and also I had a complete refusal of my S24U to auto connect to my WiFi after returning home as well for some reason, which I'd not seen before. Connected fine after manually switching S24U WiFi off and back on again. I'd been reading some other...

Asus GT-BE98 Forgets Wifi Password (except guest)

Yep, mine is the same. It's OK if you make a change and it restarts, but on a 'normal' restart or scheduled restart all devices fail to reconnect with failed passwords. I reported it via the feedback interface within the router GUI, ASUS sent me the usual copy-paste reply about forgetting the...

    GT-BE98 WIFI 7

I have the 'regular' BE98 (with 2x 5GHz radios) as opposed to the BE98 'Pro' with it's 2x 6GHz radios. The 6GHz band should only have a slightly weaker range than the 5GHz in theory, however, I find that in practice that makes a big difference for more distant stations. I've only ever ran a...

Solved Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra Doesn't Detect 6Ghz Band on Wifi Router

S24 Ultra with a BE98 here, both on latest updates and using MLO. I still occasionally get the issue where WiFi 'stalls' and then drops out completely requiring me to switch WiFi off and back on again on my phone to reconnect. I don't see the same issue on our 2 gaming desktop PC's (where...
