    Known issue from some time ago in ASUS original FW versions. Apart from that, installed 384.7_2 and working without issues.

    It has been also reported for the RT AC87U, but I have installed 384.7 and it works flawlessly (with es.pool.ntp.org). I always recommend to install new fw from scratch, initializing the router and with a final off/on cycle. I never had a problem doing it in this way.

    For a long time we have had a problem that seems to be not solved in the last fw 382.50702 : In the network map, the users connected trough WIFI in the 5 GHz band appear as connected through wire (ethernet port). In the past, this worked correctly. So if someone from ASUS is reading this...

    Installed in a RT AC87U without problems (rebooted, installed everything from scratch and switched off and on). Everything seems to work OK. I had no problem with the ntp server as someone reported (time is acquired normally). So thank you RMerlin for a new piece of 1st class software ...

    I do not know in Canada, but in Spain RT AC87U is cheaper than the new (and better, I know) routers as RT AC86U, RT AC88U or RT AC5300, so it has still a good relationship price/performance. It is more expensive than RT AC68U, but it has better performances. In any way, it is still on sale ...

    I know it is frustrating that powerless and older routers can use this functionality, but as RMerlin says, our router has the specificity of having this damned Quantenna stuff (by the way, for me it works well, I am not complaining about the performance) and this makes more complicated for Asus...

    Well, I bought it without Aimesh, and I can live now without Aimesh. But having this nice router updated in security and improved in other areas is what I am prying for. So please, ASUS, continue supporting this router ... And release the GPL code for the last FW. I would like to continue using...
