YazFi YazFi Guest Network unable to access Pi-Hole DNS server

OK, I changed it the IP away from 192.168.100.0, but there was no change (with the Two-Way to Guest enabled). Then I copied all of your settings for YazFi and PiHole, and it worked. I slowly undid the changes back to my original settings and Pi-Hole continued working I finally disabled the...

    YazFi YazFi v4.x - continued

Those entries are not created by YazFi as RMerlin indicates. On a RT-AC68U running Asus stock firmware 3.0.0.4.386_51255 and which has never had YazFi installed.... In fact Guest WiF has never even been enabled on that RT-AC68U router.

How to let Devices see each other in Guest network?

...up this thread since there was quite good answers the the questions posted. I need to be able to allow clients to communicate to each other between GN1 (2.4Ghz) and GN2 (5Ghz). How do I do it? the .isolate=0 only allows within the same net. But GN1 has 192.168.101.x while GN2 has 192.168.102.X.

...current Bandwidth Limiter rule that is set via script (e.g. nvram set qos_bw_rulelist="$1>192.168.1.0/24>700>700>0"). I'd like to also set guest network 1 (192.168.101.x) limits in a similar fashion. Is it necessary to run restart_qos and restart_firewall after each assignment of...

Access webserver on lan synology from guest network on AX88u router

...somehow related to the core mechanism of the guest network with 'intranet disabled'. The guest network is assigning addresses in the 192.168.101.x space. I see that by connecting my cellphone, for instance, to the guest wifi, and then looking at its ipconfig using pingtools. My phone shows...

AdGuardHome AdGuard Home and Guest Networks

Support was added if you do not allow intranet. Basically, each guest network gets its own IP address range 192.168.101.XYZ , 192.168.102.XYZ, etc. ranges. There is a problem with the intranet access being disabled if you are using AIMESH without being hardwired directly to the AIMESH Parent...

    Assistance getting Wireguard client running

...IP pulldown I see all the routers clients, so I used 192.168.50.1/24 which should get all clients using the LAN. I have a guest network 192.168.101.x and .102.x (2.4g and 5g) am I correct I'd also need an entry like my LAN above, for each of those if I wanted all their traffic to go through...

How does Guest Networks work on the technical level behind the scene ?

...only for the devices declared in such script, correct? Is there any guide to write such script? I'd like to allow the IoT devices (which are on a the guest network 1 with subnet 192.168.101.x/24) to communicate with my Raspberry Pi which is on the main network with static IP 192.168.50.2...

    Assistance getting Wireguard client running

Giving the fact that they are different subnets, I would say yes, you need to add an entry for each of them in DNSDirector to redirect all traffic through the VPN.

YazFi Blocking internet access for certain devices on YazFi guest network

I changed the YazFi subnets but that didn't work. I have also tried to add another rule to allow the internet access for the device with IP 192.168.126.42 and now the /jffs/addons/YazFi.d/userscripts.d/myscript.sh file looks like this #!/bin/sh iptables -I YazFiFORWARD -i wl0.2 -o br0 -d...

    upgrade from RT-AX86U to GT-AX6000?

If it's only one then OP can just enable it in the GUI of his primary mesh node then take the 192.168.101.X and/or 192.168.102.X and configure the gateway IP interface as a vlan to match in the Opnsense GUI. No scripting really needed unless he needs more than one GN on all mesh nodes. He would...

Repeater connected to Guest SSID bypassing Access Intranet = Disable

WDS is not being used and wps is disabled. It is being used as a standard repeater. This AP you pulled out was it an ASUS wireless router in repeater mode? If not then it does not apply to this issue.

Tutorial How to use VLANs on your non-pro Asus router with 386 or 388 code (no scripting required)

Same for TP-LInk and many others, you have to specify both the Outbound and inbound VLAN on the port. The PVID tells the switch what VLAN to put incoming untagged frames into, and the main 802.1Q VLAN setting for the port tells it what to send out the port (tagged, untagged, which vlan if...

    Use wireguard for Yazfi

Oh thanks I didn’t know this. What happens if I have 2 5 GHz guest wifi with no intranet on. it makes a subnet with 192.168.1.101 or 192.168.101.xxx thanks again.

    Kill switch + reboot

...guest-wireless comes up it serves the main router lan ip 192.168.1.x and then when tunnels comes up restarts wifi and serves up yazfi 192.168.101.x. I installed killmon with paranoid and reboot mode and it does block outbound when served the 192.168.1.x address at startup. So it worked...

    VLAN Setup for IoT Devices

Thanks for the link, nice trick on the lease extension! It may or may not work for me like you said, I am going to bookmark it for the future. Currently all my wired devices are retaining their 192.168.102 IPs, which is great! They all go through a network switch connected on port 4 now(which...

    VLAN Setup for IoT Devices

Repeater connected to Guest SSID bypassing Access Intranet = Disable

...and flawed. If you're running a coffee shop and letting anyone add a WDS node, you should focus on coffee and hire someone to set up your wifi. Pulled out an AP last night, connected as repeater on my guest network, guests on that AP get 192.168.101.x IPs and cannot hit main LAN or main router.

    Strange DHCP behavior.

The 192.168.101.x and 192.168.102.x addresses are a special case. They're used for guest network #1 on each band. The reason for that is AiMesh.
