    Yes IOS devices will switch automatically and pretty smoothly between the two . This way I don't have to manually do it . Now most devices will switch to 2.4 but from 2.4 to 5 with different SSID I always have to get it back to 5GHz manually as with the same SSID my iPhone will switch to it in...

    IOS 8.4 is out and there is also a mac OS X update to 10.10.4 You may need to forget the network and rejoin or reset network in IOS. You May need to hard reboot your IOS device by Holding the power and home buttons down at the same time and keep them pressed until you see the apple logo...

    87U 3.0.0.4.378.6117 BETA is awful for 2.4 Band

    I had 2.4 GHz problems with 6065 also and Asus said it was a known issue, then I went to the 6117 and even more stuff was broke, 6117 is just a mess. Merlin's latest seems great tho.

    Hi, Asus is trying to duplicate the problem and is aware of samsung wifi issues with the 87. On IOS Well read this:) Hopefully the next IOS update does fix it:) (and maybe if and when Asus finds the samsung issue that fixes the rest)

    You most likely do not need these settings as the servers are close to you and your internet is much better than what we get on the east coast (tho some are lucky to get get fios as that is a pipe dream for my town).
