    Reminds me of the issue with Kasa devices a while back (already fixed). My recommendation, report it to Asus through the router, and for now, use the previous version of the firmware since it’s not over a year old yet.

    I wish I could help, but don't have Dual WAN. Hopefully, the community can help. Maybe try a new posting asking about setting up Dual WAN using 388 firmware (broadly, not specific to this router)?

    No need to worry about this. Asus changed how they calculate free memory. Now it includes cached, but Linux is great at managing free memory.

    Network map can sometimes be weird. However, each network is unique and sometimes things don’t get along. Sorry I can’t be more helpful.

    All 5GHz channels or a specific one? Try something simple like 36. Aimesh is always hit and miss.

    Have you tried reporting to Asus through the router? Make sure you include the file system for your drive (e.g. NTFS, exFAT, etc.) Sometimes Linux based operating systems misbehave with non-EXT file systems.

    Quick note, most modern TVs still use Fast Ethernet, not gigabit ports. Crazy, but saving a few pennies per unit makes a difference. Plus, 100 Mb/s is more than double the requirement for 4K streaming.

    iPad and Mac laptops running Ventura do the same thing. Probably a power saving feature. Fine unless you are running speed tests. Starting a big download will also (sometimes) shift them from 1 to 2 streams.

    Ugh, I hate it when Asus does that. Maybe we can help you troubleshoot. Could you tell us more about your problem(s) and current configuration?

    Bummer. Glad rolling back helped. Was it a dirty or clean upgrade? Do you have a HDD attached to the USB port? Some folks have reported similar issues when using as a media server.

    Interesting point. You are right, the new features are beta. Maybe I'll wait for a future sale when these Pro features are out of beta.

    The RT-AX86U PRO is down to $250 (Amazon). I'm slightly curious about the "Pro" features (VLAN, etc), so I am wondering if current owners like it. Thank you for sharing your experience!

    Latest 388 I have only tested for a week, so too early to judge. Thus far, seems stable. I had a brief (less than 30 seconds) internet disconnection (not WiFi), but I think (hope!) it was ISP related.
