    I'm curious, since this router is similar to the TUF AX5400. With the new 388 firmware, do you also see the 1-2% used memory increases per day? Or is memory usage steady? I know up times right now are (tops) one week, but is memory usage higher than 386 firmware? Thanks for the info!

    Have you tried a non-Apple Wi-Fi 6 device or an Apple Wi-Fi 5 device? Apple Wi-Fi 6 devices sometimes throttle speeds - not sure why.

    The router broadcasts an SSID called ASUS_00, login, open browser page and a captive portal should take you to the setup. If that doesn't work, try 192.168.50.1

    Out of Memory Errors 388.1 / No space left on device [SOLUTIONS]

    This is a controversial one. Few folks have reported the same issue with 388 firmware (multiple routers). However, RMerlin and Gnuton don't think it is a memory leak, but Asus changing how free memory is calculated/displayed. To play it safe, I'm still running the most recent 386.

    This is good to know. I'm still going to wait for the next Asus release, especially since the last 386 release for the TUF AX5400 is so recent (late Sept 2022).

    The (potential) memory leak is for the newest 388. For 386, scheduled reboots are totally optional.

    Almost a month up-time with 386.50224, and no problems, as far as I can tell.

    You are not wrong… Gnuton is planning to switch it to vanilla Asus for his Merlin 388. What’s your up time? I downgraded to 386 because of memory leak concerns. Some folks using 388 reported crashes after 10-12 days.

    I usually do - for both Asus and OpenWrt stuff. Why? Sometimes things don't transfer as neatly as they should... It's rare, but super annoying when it happens. Plus, I value stability over all else. Give the 'dirty downgrade' a try. If it behaves, no need for a hard reset.
