    Release ASUS TUF-AX5400 Firmware version 3.0.0.4.388.21224 (2022/10/21)

Bummer. Same model or different Asus router? My YouTube and FB are running smoothly.

    Release ASUS TUF-AX5400 Firmware version 3.0.0.4.388.21224 (2022/10/21)

We shall see - I plan to experimentally test this. I will run 388 for 2-3 weeks and we'll see what happens. More speculation: Perhaps 386 didn't report cache size because free memory barely changed over time. Hard to believe the cache was just 1-3 MB after a month or two. Maybe 388 also...

    Release ASUS TUF-AX5400 Firmware version 3.0.0.4.388.21224 (2022/10/21)

    Okay - I'll give it a longer try :)

    Release ASUS TUF-AX5400 Firmware version 3.0.0.4.388.21224 (2022/10/21)

Decided to go back to 386. RAM use going from 58% to over 70% in less than 3 days makes me a bit nervous. Very basic settings, no external drive, no VPN, no AiProtection. I'll wait for the next 388...

    Release ASUS TUF-AX5400 Firmware version 3.0.0.4.388.21224 (2022/10/21)

That would make sense. Maybe they are releasing an updated version of the hardware. Thus far (~2 days), outside the ballooning RAM use, everything is stable. Again, could be a feature, not a problem. I'll keep you all posted.

    Release ASUS TUF-AX5400 Firmware version 3.0.0.4.388.21224 (2022/10/21)

Pure speculation. I wonder if in order to support the new features, they have duplicated components optimized for different configs. Briefly going back to the RAM thing, my only concern is that IF it's a memory leak, it will eventually will fill up leading to crashes. If that happens, I'm going...

    Release ASUS TUF-AX5400 Firmware version 3.0.0.4.388.21224 (2022/10/21)

Good question… Chunky everything for 388.

    Release ASUS TUF-AX5400 Firmware version 3.0.0.4.388.21224 (2022/10/21)

Not a problem (maybe?), but an observation. For 386 versions of the firmware, memory usage was fairly steady - even after weeks w/o rebooting (for my configuration around 58%). The new 388 firmware has jumped from 58% to 68% after 2ish days. Could be that 388 is more aggressive about memory usage.

    Asus Tuf AX5400 network issue

I haven't seen this problem, but I recall a reviewer having problems with ethernet ports. Good luck! https://www.mbreviews.com/asus-tuf-ax5400-router-review/

Have you tried changing DHCP query frequency?

router.asus.com not working on MacOS Ventura Safari

Same - Chrome/Edge work fine. It seems that Safari for Ventura won't take it because it's an http address. Changing it to https in Asus settings fixes the problem.

router.asus.com not working on MacOS Ventura Safari

Thank you, sir! Makes sense, it's forcing https and my router was setup for http - DUH!

router.asus.com not working on MacOS Ventura Safari

I've heard of folks having problems accessing the router via router.asus.com with Firefox. Well, I just upgraded one of my laptops to MacOS Ventura, and the same problem (at least using Edge and Safari). All non-Ventura computers connect to the router with router.asus.com just fine. Using the IP...

    Release ASUS TUF-AX5400 Firmware version 3.0.0.4.388.21224 (2022/10/21)

Promising update. Clean install, and after 12 hours, the logs looks clean. I'll report back if something changes.

TUF AX5400 Firmware 3.0.0.4.386_49873, AiProtection, and micro disconnections

I need stability, so I prefer a stable 386, than an unstable 388. Looking forward to (a hopefully very stable) 388 :)

TUF AX5400 Firmware 3.0.0.4.386_49873, AiProtection, and micro disconnections

Interesting. I have a very straightforward configuration, but also a lot of IoT devices. Maybe those two not getting along? It took me a while to notice - I was randomly dropping Zoom calls for a few seconds every few days and my Shark vac was sometimes very slow to respond to voice commands...

TUF AX5400 Firmware 3.0.0.4.386_49873, AiProtection, and micro disconnections

Just an FYI for the community. The latest version of the TUF AX5400 firmware (3.0.0.4.386_49873) appears to have a bug. Activating AiProtection leads to brief micro disconnections of 2-4 devices simultaneously for ~30 seconds. It happens in both the 2.4 and 5 ghz bands. Disabling AiProtection...

    Release TUF Gaming AX5400 (TUF-AX5400) Version 3.0.0.4.386.48664 (2022/04/26)

Clean update - all good here. Also, 386 firmware solves the TP-Link stability issues!

AX58U - Wifi unstable with Smart home devices (TP-link HS200, HS105 switch etc...)

Out of curiosity for those who managed to install the new 86U firmware w/o bricking your device. Does it fix this issue?
