Solved Strange IP address in wireless log ...

Assign a static address on its LAN adapter, run it for an hour or so and then go back to dhcp.

Merlin 386.1_2 on AC68U conntrack error

I'm running Firmware Version: 384.17 (18 and 19 are causing too much trouble) I'm guessing 384.* is the last branch this works.

Block specific devices from reaching internet?

Use the asus firewall to block a subnet portion and set such devices in this subnet. Easy peasy.

    Malware on Github ??

Solarwinds has shown all of us that any supply chain can be compromised, being wary is good, a zero trust approach would be better, which to say the least is a challenge with asus closed source components.

    Edge router X max throughput

I can surely understand why you think this is feasable, but if you search you will find many reasons why this isn't working, sure there are routers with hardware chips that 'could' do this but sustained and with more then one user is another story. Before I went with a netgate I've done the...

    Edge router X max throughput

Which is normal with most low cost routers, if you want high wan/lan throughput without hw acceleration you need to look at stuff like a sg-5100

    Vlans and scripts?

Yes because the path to the vlan is one way (unless you open a WAN to LAN port on the second router, ea. for a printer)

    Vlans and scripts?

Take a second router (with a WAN and 1-4 LAN connections), connect the WAN side to a LAN port of the VLAN, assign a fixed IP for this WAN connection. Connect the LAN side to your existing LAN and assign a subnet, disable DHCP. Use a route to access VLAN devices. route add 10.10.100.0(devices on...

    Vlans and scripts?

I've had the same dilemma and opted for a second router with the WAN side inside the VLAN.

SMB2 share connects with macOS and android, but not Windows 10

If (underwater) a connection is established with a different user then the one you want to use, you also get these problems. Add an entry to your hosts file and use that to create multiple connections to the same device with different users. ea. net use \\192.168.1.1\share /user:bla1 net use...

How to provide 5g wifi network for 1000 buildings using wifi mesh technology

Your talking about 4g/5g mobile phone network and the topic is "5g wifi network...wifi mesh" Did I miss anything or are we talking apples/oranges? 4g/5g cellular distribution towers are much easier (and less towers) to deploy than 5ghz wifi sector (or even wide angle) points.

    Nat slipstreaming 2.0

I think for now (other then disabling SIP/ALG) mitigation is in this statement; “While the underlying issue of this attack is the way NATs are implemented (in various ways in routers and firewalls, throughout numerous vendors and applications), the easiest and fastest way to mitigate was...

And here are the antenna's you can mount: https://www.wifi-shop24.com/5ghz-wifi-sector-antennas Waterproof the AP's, run power/Lan cable down to the ground, in to a concentration box and off you go.
