    Hi, my question is, is there anyway i can assign the public (static) IP which is assigned to the modem, to be used on the router instead? im thinking out loud, maybe MAC spoofing? guidance needed, highly appreciated, thanks. modem use VDSL PPPOE

    I've been searching all over to find any reliable vpn provider, where I live has very strict stupid policies against VPNs.... I was wondering if anyone knows a reliable or more totally free, totally working, with wirguard even? Thanks for sharing..

    I was wondering.... If I encrypt everything on my router, which at the end has the modem as the gateway which has no encryption configured....are all the communication done from the devices connected to the router, can still be seen by my ISP?

    DNS use your ISP connection speed, while VPN tunnels a connection between you and the destination, thus making the destination a bottleneck (if slower than yours) - DNS is definitely the winner here.

    Hey, I've been researching about those Media streaming (paid) websites that offer DNS media routing to unblock geo-restricted media streaming services to spoof your location by using Smart DNS, so, why can't we implement that ? Sounds like an interesting project..

    Yep, followed every step, will only connect via LAN but not from outside,,,says your VPN did not respond....however from LAN it works perfectly.

    On my AC5300 I loaded the latest Stock MErlin firmware, there was a submenu on the left called Open NAT i think....why is it removed on Merlin firmware?
