    so my hard drive is now visible after I did nothing....weird, but it still says that there are errors on it. I'm going to put all of the old data on it before I just go back to the old firmware. Hopefully, that'll fix it.

    yes, i enabled the samba option. the HDD does show up in the router's network map but not the network map when i use my windows explorer.
