Don't know, never used it - that is someone else's question.

? on changing internal IP address range

I don't know, I don't use that - takes too long to populate and change (especially 'on the fly') and also my static DHCP devices get a 7 day lease as opposed to the DHCP pool which all get a 1.5 hour lease hence why I only use dnsmasq.conf.add.

? on changing internal IP address range

I recently done this using a merlin build on my AP with dnsmasq.conf.add file. I gave everything on my network a static DHCP address outside the 'DHCP range' (my DHCP range is 150 to 199) in dnsmasq.conf.add and restarted dnsmasq and changed my all my static devices (mainly my Pi's) to use...

AC 5300 and Echo Show issues

Have a read here: https://github.com/RMerl/asuswrt-merlin.ng/wiki/Custom-config-files The dnsmasq.conf.add you need to add is; dhcp-option=26,1430 Their are loads others, E.G. all my home network devices have a static-dhcp IP outside the dhcp pool. Alas, I run all linux here and I don't...

[SOLVED] Asus access point with 2 asus repeaters - reconnect issue

I have found a solution to this: https://www.asus.com/support/FAQ/1008036/ I rebooted the AP twice this morning after making the changes to the repeater wifi network names (no other changes needed, it can be be done easily on the 'network map->system status' page/tab), and sure enough they go...

AC 5300 and Echo Show issues

Let us all know the result, please. I am just hoping it isn't something peculiar with my physical connection (i.e. BT's wires).

AC 5300 and Echo Show issues

Glad you sorted it - strange how things go 'bump in the night'. Here's some info concerning the echo's and BBC sounds. The BBC changed from using the Alexa app 'tunein' to their own app called 'BBC sounds' to listen to their radio stations and what not. On the 'show' all seems well and good...

Access point RT-N66U - wan goes down - wireless unconnectable

Does any know when my wan FTTC ADSL connection goes down I can't connect to the access point via wireless (2.4)? Lucky it only happens once every 6 months or so, not predictable, usually early Sunday mornings when BT or whoever are doing something somewhere. Thanks.

[SOLVED] Asus access point with 2 asus repeaters - reconnect issue

I sort of got around this issue - if I know I have to reboot the access point, I turn off one of the repeaters. The other repeater then reconnects to the AP as soon as it's UP, then restart the second the repeater and everything is all back reconnected. Strange - really seems like the two...

[SOLVED] Asus access point with 2 asus repeaters - reconnect issue

Interesting, thanks for the reply. I have even messed on reducing wifi strength via SSH and committing to NVRAM, but all that does is make my network unstable and also messing with the 'roaming assistant' feature that supposedly drop a wifi connection if it is greater that -70dB, but that is...

[SOLVED] Asus access point with 2 asus repeaters - reconnect issue

I have an Asus RT-N66U running as an access point using the latest and final Merlin firmware. I also have two Asus RT-N12E's running Asus stock firmware set as repeaters (static IP). Topology as follows: Repeater #1 ---------5 metres (west) -------- Access point ------- 7 metres (east)...
