uiDivStats uiDivStats - WebUI for Diversion statistics

ok, thanks. The CPU was going 25% to 75% every few seconds on the UI. "top" command on ssh session was showing around 10% CPU usage for this. I restarted a few times and the CPU would start out at 2% (which is it's normal state) and then go back to 25% to 75% in a few minutes. I turned this off...

uiDivStats uiDivStats - WebUI for Diversion statistics

Can someone help me understand how/what it does in the background? The problem is that my CPU is going haywire. It is constantly churning through the log files? Is there a way to do the processing in a nightly job?

pixelserv pixelserv - A Better One-pixel Webserver for Adblock

Actually, another question. Is there a way to use a paid certificate instead of the self signed one so it doesn't have to be installed on each device? I did it easily on macbook but for iPhone and other mobile devices it won't be that easy + guests.

pixelserv pixelserv - A Better One-pixel Webserver for Adblock

Just got this up and running. When the Chrome add-on 'AdBlock' is used, it gets rid of the entire ad including the whitespace. This keeps the whitespace there. Is there a reason for that or am I missing something?

    Cheapest supported router for AIMesh?

I found some under $50 (RT-AC1200, RT-N12) but you are right some cross referencing needs to be done to see if they support AiMesh

    Cheapest supported router for AIMesh?

Seems over $100. I am hoping the node does not need much features and I can find something around or less than $50. I might look for used on eBay.

    Goodbye ASUS, I give up.

Funny thing is that I had similar issues as the OP with my old setup and a large house. Got a mesh device that had more connection issues. Settled on RT-AC86U and Merlin Firmware a year ago and much smooth sailing since then.

    Cheapest supported router for AIMesh?

Now that AIMesh will be supported. What is the cheapest router/node on merlin firmware that will support it? ;) I already have RT-AC86U as the main router.

Disable Chrome Remote Desktop for WAN?

I am using Chrome Remote Desktop to access a Windows 10 home machine because Windows RDP is not available on home versions. I have VPN enabled on the router and the router cannot be accessed directly on the WAN. I would also like to make it so Chrome Remote Desktop is only accessible on LAN or...

Signal Loss on the other side of the house.. options?

Thank you. > I changed to 2.4 Ghz to see what happens. Seems to be slightly better but still 1-2 freezes in the last hour. I had this as the only device on 5Ghz in hopes that it will not get too much interference. > I understand that the speed of the fiber connection is irrelevant but I...

Signal Loss on the other side of the house.. options?

I got a 86u running merlin. Works great but I got the TV on the other side of the house using WiFi and there is great signal loss where the YouTube TV, Sling TV, lags quite the bit. TV is the only device on 5Ghz band. There are 10-15 other devices on the 2.4Ghz band and none of them are...

Does guest networks run on different channel than the main router?

I am adding some network camera/doorbell and IoT devices to the network. If I put them on one of the guest network, other than security, are there any performance gains such that they won't impact the speed of the rest of the network as it's on a different channel. I know they are still using...

    RT-AC86U stock vs merlin

This year a bought a 4200 sq foot, 3 story house with front and backyard. I was on the hunt to find something "to walk around the house without loosing connection" to replace my 7 year old dlink router. I got Linksys Velop 3 node mesh system, installed it and had nothing but stability issues for...

Guest Network - assign specific IPs?

I want to set some rules (dns ad-block, filtering, etc) when the guests connects. Is there a way to assign IPs using the Guest Network feature that are in a specific range so I can set rules for that range? From what I can see it just gives a random IP from my current range.

AB-Solution - The Ad Blocking Solution

When using AB-Solution and pixelserv-tls, I need to import the certificate to each device on the network - iPhone, iPad, Andriod phones, macbook pro, windows laptop? - to avoid the invalid certificate error? Sorry, there are hundreds of pages and I am not 100% clear?

    Router Recomendation For VPN Use

Just to clarify, I don't use double VPN. I get those speeds with single VPN.

    Router Recomendation For VPN Use

Here is a quick comparison that comes up on google search for the top 2 https://restoreprivacy.com/nordvpn-vs-pia/ Depending on what you are using it for, PIA is based in United States so I didn't go with them.

    Router Recomendation For VPN Use

I am using NordVPN that is AES 256 I believe. You can also do double VPN where it bounces off two servers before hitting the destination. I haven't tried a ton to compare it to many but I was using btguard in past and the speed wasn't that good (about 2 mbps). With NordVPN, I get over 20-30+...

Buying Asus router just because of this. Supported device AC3200?

Thanks everyone. I ended up getting a 86u. I know it isn't tri-band that I was going for initially but the other positives bent me more towards it. I have set it up so the streaming TVs and a few others have AC 5ghz band and others have 2.4ghz band. It seems to be working awesome so far for the...
