    @RMerlin may be a stupid question. But a question will never be stupid not asked right.... Dual wan is a long time pain caused by Asus. And as explained by you many times that this piece is closed source. Is there a way for you to add a new dual wan feature outside the closed source?

    Broken power button

    Put a switch on the power plug then the adapter looses power also. Since there is no proper shutdown procedure on the Asus routers like shutdown... It don't makes any difference in how to cut the power.

    Is my AC86U toast?

    Figures .. taking down 19 volt to 5 volt. I think for the fun of it I would replace the buck converter. Since it is actually a wonderful router. I changed the thermal stuff and modded the system for full power. And I just like it. I think it is really necessary to keep it all cooled down.

    AC86U overheating

    If you a bit handy get copper as thermal plates. I did it with mine and now it is running at 67 degrees. In a room that is 28... I don't use fans. But for now I advice to use one to cool it down a bit.

    I ended up where I begon, I installed tomato on a r7000 and made it a load balancer. Infront of the asus. All works, but what a crappy expensive dualwan router is this Asus. It's awesome for single wan. But don't advertise dualwan because it simply don't work.

    Pff so it is getting nowhere... I just don't get it. Then I thought ok let's make it a AP and then install openvpn on it. With a decent load balancer Infront. But sure then there is no OpenVpn to select.....
