RT-AX86U Pro - Merlin: can't get p2p cameras available to wan.

Hi Guys, Got a new router AX86U pro 3 weeks ago and wife noticed last week mobile phones can no longer see our cameras NVR. My wife thinks it was working until a week ago so it maybe not the router. It works fine on the LAN with ethernet or wifi but will not connect from the inernet. No...

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.10 is now available for AC models

Sorry, I've gone back and read the YazDHCP thread again. It's ok for on/off it was a reset that breaks it. I'll give it some more thought.

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.10 is now available for AC models

Okay but could you just answer this... my router AC68u is being slowly killed by the recent updates. Is the firmware in my router 386.9 likely to be safe from external attack? If so my best plan is to do nothing. YazDHCP is wonderful but is vulnerable to even a power cut. My wife could not sort...

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.10 is now available for AC models

I have an AC68U and i use DHCP reservations and a few Wi-Fi MAC filters. Been fine for years but now 386-9 gave memory warnings. I ran the script to clear some space in nvram and had to remove around 8 IP resevations before I could get things back to normal. Now I worry about 386-10?? I really...

Avoiding turning my AC68U into a brick with 3X size upgrade?

Ah, that makes sense. I noticed a longer pause before the percentage bar started than before which I presume was where it was finding the correct file. Thanks for all your help Colin. Bob.

Avoiding turning my AC68U into a brick with 3X size upgrade?

Upgrade to 386.5.2 seems to have gone fine. Not noticed any issues yet. Does the router install the whole 3x file now or does it sort through and pick the bit(s) it needs? Thanks Bob.

Avoiding turning my AC68U into a brick with 3X size upgrade?

Gosh, that's a lot of work. I'll start doing some screen shots in case it comes to that. Thanks. Bob.

Avoiding turning my AC68U into a brick with 3X size upgrade?

I've been updating my AC68U (H/W version: A) with Asuswrt-Merlin for some years all fine so far. I've been particularly keeping an eye on upgrades since the press gave me the Asus routers being targeted story, true or not. I'm currently using 386.4 and can see we 386.5 and 386.5.2 but both of...

That is very interesting, I can see I need to do more reading and thinking. Thanks very much. Bob.

[Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374.43 LTS releases (Archive)

Okay. I have a USB memory stick connected to my router. I use this to be able to read and write the DHCP reservations file and the MAC address filters for both wireless bands. This memory device is then smb shared across my network so these files can be copied and edited. Hope that is clearer...

[Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374.43 LTS releases (Archive)

Wow thank you for that, much appreciated. On the 86U can you pull and push the DHCP reservations and the two Mac filter lists via the USB data stitck and smb share as with the n66u? Bob.

[Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374.43 LTS releases (Archive)

Guys. I have an RT-N66U which has been running firmware from the John fork for a long time and updated many times. My router works very well and I'm grateful to John and the help I get here from others now and then. However my router is getting on a bit (like me) and I worry about it breaking...

Thanks but the point was I had no idea if I had repo or not because I hadn't the slightest idea what it meant. Bob.

Thanks I've done it, seems OK. May I ask why that warning is added if it can be ignored? Bob.
