    RT-AC3100 Refurbished but having problems

I also have a refurb that works just fine. It's not the refurb that is a problem. I had to test a lot till I understood this unit. I also have a X4s that works great with Voxel's firmware. It is a little faster, but it does not have the versatility of the rt-3100 do to Merlin firmware.

How to Dynamically Ban Malicious IP's using IPSet (Martineau version)

I have a question. First! My syslog fills up with "Accept In" msgs. from my pc to the router. I am using a static ip cause I'm on a bridge. I have "Default message log level" set to "Notice". Question is: What can I set the logging level to safely that will not affect "IPSET_Block" function in...

How to Dynamically Ban Malicious IP's using IPSet (Martineau version)

Ok! Back from "Dog duty"! I tested it with Google ip and it said it was unbanned and worked just fine. So I'm good to go again. Thanks, as usual! 4.03 appears to work well for me. I have tested most of your built-in functions and I like the versatility they add. They have worked for me. P.Sl...

How to Dynamically Ban Malicious IP's using IPSet (Martineau version)

Yep! She's working again! I did a manual command line "Save" and it worked. Damn! I tried everything except a "Reset". Thanks for the help! I'm not sure what caused the problem. All I can say is it seemed to start after I did an "Unban" from the command line and found out the ip address was not...

Yet another malware block script using ipset (v4 and v6)

I have some general questions. How often do the block lists change? Would it suffice to run this script once a day or do changes occur fairly often?

Yet another malware block script using ipset (v4 and v6)

I run both IPSET_Block and Ya-Malware together and don't have a problem. Try using the "Init reset"(Check thread for correct syntax) option on IPSET.

Yet another malware block script using ipset (v4 and v6)

Ok! I misunderstood this feature. I thought it was for safe-guarding against future blockage. Sorry for all the hassle. Course that is what makes this forum so much fun. Right?

Yet another malware block script using ipset (v4 and v6)

I think what @Jack Yaz said about dos crlf characters is spot on. Try using dos2unix utility on that file. Just saw your mention on dos2unix not fixing that. All I can say is there may be some characters inadvertently messing things up. Try adding your IPs again with directly editing the file...

Yet another malware block script using ipset (v4 and v6)

Ok! I deleted the old whites file and let it d/l a new one. The only reason I put those in there was because the old script locked me out of the the internet and I could not connect. I just wanted to make sure it didn't happen again. Thanks for all the help!
