    MOCA Network Preparation

I tested with laptop earlier and had some issues with establishing 1Gbps link speed between the laptop and router. Switched Ethernet cables and ports and that appeared to resolve the issue. Will retest and post results. iperf3 –c x.x.x.x –w 2m –t 90s –i 1s Any recommendations for length of...

    MOCA Network Preparation

Installed MOCA in two locations (downstairs office and downstairs living room) and have the network up and running. Working through some initial tests and getting some fair variability in the bandwidth using iperf3 for testing. My peak internet speed is ~ 250Mbps, so the lower than 1Gbps...

    MOCA Network Preparation

Copy - thanks. If I installed a third MOCA adapter directly under the upstairs bedroom, then I would need another MOCA-compatible splitter there, correct? So the connections from the upstairs bedroom would be MOCA splitter, coupler, MOCA splitter, correct?

Any recommendations for a MOCA- compatible coupler that is suitable for outdoor use?

    MOCA Network Preparation

Finally got a chance to check out the existing wiring in the home and it's a bit of a mess, but I think I can make it work. Attached is an updated network diagram to show how I think the network needs to be set up. The longest COAX run is between the first splitter that connects to the upstairs...

Are these ping times normal for bonded MoCa 2.0?

I recall seeing testing that indicated ~5ms of additional latency with MOCA. Your numbers look about right from that perspective.

Are all of these splitters suitable for outdoors? New house is in the Mid-Atlantic.

    MOCA Network Preparation

Thanks. Any recommendations for a 75-ohm terminator that's suitable outdoors?

    MOCA Network Preparation

I visited the new rental house to trace some wires and figure out how things are connected. I found the following: 1. COAX connections in Basement, Main Level, and 2nd Level (all terminate outside independently and are not interconnected) So I'm proposing the attached diagram for my network...

    MOCA Network Preparation

Any specific recommendations on which cable tester to purchase? Ideally looking for something that is intuitive for someone that hasn't previously used the device.

    MOCA Network Preparation

I'll be moving into a new house soon and would like to try and incorporate a MOCA network into my existing setup. I don't know much about the home other than it has existing fiber service and the potential for cable service as well. I assume that I'll likely need a PoE Filter, a couple of MOCA...

Asus RT-AC68u losing AiMEsh connection post 384.19 Merlin firmware

No problems on my RT-AC68U AIMesh Node running 386.2_4 connected to RT-AX3000 running 386.2_4 connected via WiFi backhaul. Recommend you provide some additional information related to your setup so that folks can try and help troubleshoot.

Diversion **Resolved ** Diversion Update Failed - [Error] pixelserv-tls CA certificate creation failed

Recently installed 386.2_2 on my RT-AX3000 and decided to look to see if there were any script updates and there were some for Diversion. I ran the update option and it failed with the following error: [Error] pixelserv-tls CA certificate creation failed Multiple attempts to install have failed...

    CakeQOS CakeQoS-Merlin v2.0.0 alpha

I've seen similar results when I run the waveform bufferbloat from my Pixel 3. But the results are very different when run on my desktop (which is far more powerful and has a stronger WiFi signal and higher max bandwidth). Accordingly, I've ignored the Pixel results.

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.2 is now available

Installed 386.2 over 386.1_2 on my RT-AX3000 and RT-AC68U (node). Everything seems to be working just fine. Any recommendations on Cake settings for WAN Packet Overhead and Bandwidth Setting? I defaulted to 'Cable (DOCSIS)' and manually set bandwidth to ~90% of my connection speed, but haven't...

uiDivStats uiDivStats - high cpu usage

Changed USB mode from 2.0 to 3.0 and it had no discernible effect on cpu usage with uDivStats installed.

uiDivStats uiDivStats - high cpu usage

Installed uiDivStats recently and have had high cpu usage since. Changing the query and cache method had negligible effect. Uninstalling returned low cpu usage. Earlier posts on the original thread seem to suggest USB drive is the limiting factor. I'm currently running mine at 2.0 speed. Has...

FlexQoS FlexQoS 1.2.4 - Flexible QoS Enhancement Script for Adaptive QoS

Not running fq_codel. Why would that make a difference (don't understand fq_codel enough to know myself)? I'll definitely consider limiting in app if there's no way to do it in Flex.
