    NTP not sync in RT68U

This really isn't directly addressing your problem but would you be willing to either: 1) update your firmware to the "Beta" version of the official? [Version 9.0.0.4.386.41994 Beta Version] It does provide an important security fix for DNSmasq. This version might also correct the visual...

    NTP not sync in RT68U

How is your system/ISP setup? do you use just one router? In what mode do you use it? I see in your AsusWRT GUI in Green the word App. I don't recognize what that is supposed to mean. Are you using that particular router as an Access point? I've used one router/Wireless Router Mode using...

    NTP not sync in RT68U

There is something of a known issue in AsusWRT-Merlin where the NTP server fails to sync every other boot cycle (just did a search using [Search ... ] feature at the upper right browser window using term "NTP fails". Does NTP sync fail at every reboot or at every other? Just a shot in the...

    NTP not sync in RT68U

When you say "Since a year" do you mean since the beginning of this year or for a full year? Has it ever worked for you? Can you take a screen shot and post what you see here like this? Just include the [Basic Config] section else, mark out stuff like your SSID and Router Login Name. One...

Problems installing ACME.sh on [Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374.43_48E2 LTS

@Markster made a how to about using acme.sh for a synology DSM/Plex server. Maybe this will give you some ideas. If you get it to work, fill us in. What worked, what you had to tweak, etc. TIA @diamuxin This link

    High RAM Usage RT-AC86U

As a security matter, I would reboot any router regularly to avoid accumulating memory leaks. I scheduled a reboot once a week early morning regularly, when everyone is asleep. I used to think that seeing my router's timer show it had run for months was so cool. Until someone pointed out this...

    High RAM Usage RT-AC86U

That was a good catch with the RAM size, I didn't notice until you pointed it out. I was under the impression that high RAM usage is normal for the newer chips. It's mostly cached memory for more efficient processing. Another point: I also believe that the AsusWRT GUI will provide a YELLOW...

    Skins for ASUS Routers

Dude, I'm looking through your web cams. Your house is a mess, Those dishes in the sink must have been there for weeks, and that Dang, delivery driver left your package visible from the street and not behind the bushes to the left! :p ....AND I'm strobing your smart lights! (synced to Donna...

    High RAM Usage RT-AC86U

You didn't purchase a RT-AC86U (like the title of this thread). That particular router only has 2 cores. Do you have the RT-AX86U? I think Merlin's latest firmware is actually based on firmware versions that may/may not be available to the general public.

    VPN client issue on RT-AC68U

When I set up my AC68U Asus router with 5 different NordVPN OPVN files for different locations in US and other countries, sometimes noticed that some of the provided servers would not work--connection status is spinning also. But that others would work. Do some of the servers actually work...

ASUS RT-N12E C1: Prevent router from power saving?

Yeah, without actually reading/getting up to speed about all the features and shortcuts with crontab, I had thought how ridiculously laborious it would be (and was for me) to set up anything less than a 1 hour interval. Surely, there was a better way. Thanks, for the crontab URL... have it...

ASUS RT-N12E C1: Prevent router from power saving?

Just so I understand. when your time interval is "* * * * *" that means 1 minute intervals? I was thinking the shortest interval was 1 hour via the minute "*" i.e. if set at [10] then 0:10, 1:10, 2:10, 3:10, 4:10 etc. So if you wanted to set 5 minute ping intervals that's 12 cronjobs/lines...

ASUS RT-N12E C1: Prevent router from power saving?

The last time @happyman was on this forum was [Last seen Feb 25, 2021] I hope he logs on again and sees what you posted. I think it is a great lead to getting his network working and not enter standby mode/power save mode anymore. That NVRAM file was pretty long to be reading through it...

ASUS RT-N12E C1: Prevent router from power saving?

That's right, when I tried the crontab -e command (weeks ago) on my RT-AC68U the file was not editable/closable only viewable, so I realized that this would not work that way (and by implication maybe not work in a N12). Thank you for that other code cru -a Though the command works in my 86U...

    Release [Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374 LTS release 48E7

Updated to the latest release 48E2 on my RT-N16. Opened all the tabs. Browsed around. Everything seemed to be working ok. No issues with the GUI. Was excited to see the OpenVPN 2.5.1 being updated, then DoH! forgot that the N16 doesn't support OpenVPN, dang. Additional thought: With...

    Withdrawn from sale RT-AC86U

That's a nice deal, esp. with the cooling fan. Best price for used on Amazon last I looked was $129.00 w/o cooling fan. I would have seriously considered your offer since most cooling fans for the 86U can work for the 68U (I have one that runs very hot at 90+C idling). But I already bought...
