[Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374.43 LTS releases (Archive)

it seems the upgrade process shuts down pppd so wan closes before i can upload the firmware and temporary bricks the device - it needs power cycle. I've also tried the script with nohop but no luck this time either. It seems local upgrade is the way for now

torrc persistence (tor not responding to socks proxy requests)

you actually need to replace br-LAN_guest by wl0.1 (quest network) Are you sure you;re running tor DNSPort on 5300 like the iptables commands states to be able to resolve addreses and TransPort on 9040 ? Is your tor running successfully ? you can send me a pm for a faster reply

torrc persistence (tor not responding to socks proxy requests)

late reply - i don't know if you still need this info but here it is: i've already done this (guest wifi via tor): you just need to redirect traffic via iptables - tcp via tor port and udp to tor dns: iptables -t nat -I PREROUTING -i br-LAN_guest -p udp --dport 53 -j REDIRECT --to-ports 5300...

torrc persistence (tor not responding to socks proxy requests)

first disable tor in web gui save your torrc config in /jffs/configs/torrc add to /jffs/scripts/firewall-start "tor -f /jffs/configs/torrc" add port opening if you want to participate in the routing network (no exit ports needed)

Request: Can VPN <Rules for routing client traffic> be MAC based instead of IP based?

why don't you just use: "Manually Assigned IP around the DHCP list (Max Limit : 128)" ?

OpenVPN - estimate performance via OpenVPN

i've seen this benchmarking first on pfsense forums and i've noticed that openvpn-polarssl (since supported 1.3.x) got up to 70% boost for mipsel boxes. so for openvpn on rt-n/ac/16/66 (MIPS based) I recommend to run entware's openvpn-polarssl
