    GL-Inet AXT1800 - WiFi6 Travel Router

I read that their GUI is more intuitive than OpenWRT's LuCi. Was that the case for you?

News WiFi 7 by 2024 for Intel equipped laptops.

I get Apple's rationale. It's a curated approach similar to 'omakase' Japanese fine dining where the chef determines each course in the meal based on seasonal ingredients to create the best experience for the diners. That's what drew me to macOS. Having said that, I also enjoy messing around...

News WiFi 7 by 2024 for Intel equipped laptops.

Agreed on most counts. Wish they'd make Wifi 6E support available on older Windows versions though. However, Microsoft is still lightyears ahead of Apple in the wireless adoption space. I'm primarily a Mac user so not being able to access the 160Mhz channels for Wifi 6/6E is a major annoyance...

    Aquantia AQC10x firmware update

Bricked my QNAP Thunderbolt 3 to 10GbE adapter (QNA-T310G1S) with the update and could not roll the Marvell firmware back to the original version too. Ended up doing an RMA back to QNAP and finally got it fixed.

News WiFi 7 by 2024 for Intel equipped laptops.

I'm just happy Intel's working with Broadcom to ensure its Wifi 7 adapters will work with the new wireless standard. Now if only Microsoft could do the same with Windows...

    GT-AXE16000 Owner's Thread

Interesting bit of news here with great brand marketing for Asus I think. Intel and Broadcom tested Wifi 6/6E links via a GT-AXE16000 against a Wifi 7 tri-band Access Point from Broadcom on three Dell laptops equipped with AX200 and AX211 adapters as well as a 6Ghz Wifi 7 NIC...

Asus GT-AXE16000 on 10gbps with PPPOE

Perhaps you could shift your request to the main AXE16000 Owner's thread as people there tend to be more responsive. https://www.snbforums.com/threads/gt-axe16000-owners-thread.79334/page-13#post-787498

Asus GT-AXE16000 on 10gbps with PPPOE

Not sure if this will help but perhaps you could check out this thread if you have't yet. RMerlin did some iperf tests with the 10G ports on the router and found some limitations. https://www.snbforums.com/threads/its-teaser-time-because-why-not.80019/page-4

    Different chipset though. The AX89X uses a Qualcomm 2.2Ghz Quad-core SoC and the AXE16000 a Broadcom 2.0Ghz Quad-core.

Anyone Have Experience With These AX Consumer-Grade Routers With 10G Ports?

Noted on that thanks. I think Asus is gradually rolling out WG on its routers but it's pretty slow going since they announced the Beta last year. Do let me know if you think of anything in the days ahead. Appreciate all the advice you've given thus far.

Anyone Have Experience With These AX Consumer-Grade Routers With 10G Ports?

Many thanks for the advice but as mentioned earlier, I'm not quite ready to go down the DIY or prosumer route at the moment because of time constraints. But still, totally agree that the process of building your own device to the exact specs you want is super satisfying...just not an option for...

    Asus AX89X still worth?

Sorry misread your question and yes I believe you're right.

Anyone Have Experience With These AX Consumer-Grade Routers With 10G Ports?

Got it thanks. I'll disable the 5Ghz and 2.4Ghz radios on the RT-AX89X and connect two GT-AXE11000s to my 10Gbe switch in AP mode through their 2.5G WAN ports and see if that improves wired speeds overall when I do turn on other functions. The RT-AX89X doesn't support Wireguard unfortunately, so...

Anyone Have Experience With These AX Consumer-Grade Routers With 10G Ports?

By splitting the functions do you mean using the main router just for routing, VPN etc and APs to handle the Wifi?
