[R7800] Reserving IP-address not working with RPi

I understand your suggestion. Therefore I have the firmware on a USB-stick, not on a microSD. This works much more reliable as these SD-cards seems to die very soon. I used the USB-stick already in my Asus time;). Thanks for your reply.

[R7800] Reserving IP-address not working with RPi

Thank you for this clarification. Well, that can be the case, a "no network" situation. Every evening I switch off a lot of devices, fully automated by Domoticz, among which the R7800. The Raspberry Pi not, of course, as this smart device is switching on devices when it notices movements or...

[R7800] Reserving IP-address not working with RPi

Hi, For many years I use a Raspberry Pi with Domoticz. And an Asus router RT-AC68U. In the router, I made a reservation for the IP-address for the RPi (and much more devices I have around) and never ever any problem. I could always access Domoticz on my smartphone and tablet on the reserved...

    [R7800 X4S] - Firmware-updateassistent not working

New information. The blinking screen only happens when I try to update the language interface file WHEN GENIE IS IN DUTCH. The update fails over and over again. When set Genie in English there is no update for the language interface file ....... So it seems to me that there is an issue when...

    [R7800 X4S] - Firmware-updateassistent not working

With all respect, this is not a solution. You did a manual update, bypassing the "firmware updateassistent". In the meantime I did the same. Mine is now on 58, directly from 36. When a new firmware is released I will give the update-assistent a try again. If still not working I will let you...

    [R7800 X4S] - Firmware-updateassistent not working

Hi, For the first time in my life I have a Netgear router: R7800 X4S. I wanted to try something different than an Asus after using a RT-AC5300 for a couple of weeks and the AC68U for years. The new R7800 is up and running, but the firmware seems out of date. Using the smart update doesn't give...

@arthurlien , When I try to use the FEEDBACK function it ends in an endless loop. It never sends it actually. See my signature for my setup. What can I do to make the feedback work?

Best practice suggestions and guidelines for settings in firmware?

One thing you will notice, and that is a much lower range due to RF output limitations. So stay on your current firmware if range is of importance to you.

    ASUS RT-AC68U Firmware version 3.0.0.4.384.21140

After so long silence from Asus development regarding the beta release I decided to drop that and install the latest regular firmware. This went smoothly. Coming days will tell me if it was a good decision or not ....:)

[Beta-release] AiMesh Phase2 beta test for RT-AC68U and first beta for BlueCave

Running this Phase2 beta firmware for some weeks now. Except from the guest network, this firmware runs great for my purpose. (the Engenius is switched off since I use this firmware). @arthurlien , any idea when I can upgrade to the non-beta variant of Phase2? Your reply is highly appreciated.
