    Voxel Custom firmware build for Orbi RBK50/RBK53 (RBR50, RBS50) v. 9.2.5.2.13SF-HW

I was thinking more along the lines of the active processes that are not needed as part of core function but still run today. For example: button detect, circled, upagent, bonjour, print, etc. Even with Circle disabled, the process is active and killing it spawns a new pid. as well as...

    Voxel Custom firmware build for Orbi RBK50/RBK53 (RBR50, RBS50) v. 9.2.5.2.13SF-HW

A couple of suggestions to consider for enhancements to the firmware while we're waiting for the newer updates to be released by Netgear to the open source. 1) A thin version of the firmware that has any non critical resources disabled and/or removed. Essentially just the core services for...

    Voxel Custom firmware build for Orbi RBK50/RBK53 (RBR50, RBS50) v. 9.2.5.2.13SF-HW

5 minutes, updated and all is well. Thanks for the great work Voxel.

    Voxel Custom firmware build for Orbi RBK50/RBK53 (RBR50, RBS50) v. 9.2.5.2.12SF-HW

Unlikely a hardware issue based on what you describe. More likely 1) your internet modem 2) bad network cable 3) device on your network causing havoc 4) a configuration issue. #2 is easy to address, replace the cable between your internet modem and Orbi with a known good cat 5+ cable. #4 is...

    Voxel Custom firmware build for Orbi RBK50/RBK53 (RBR50, RBS50) v. 9.2.5.2.12SF-HW

Just channel availability and transmission power are affected depending on the region. Daylight savings just affects the system time and has no concept as to what time zone you are actually in, so no this would be unrelated.

    Voxel Custom firmware build for Orbi RBK50/RBK53 (RBR50, RBS50) v. 9.2.5.2.12SF-HW

This is not possible. This Voxel firmware is only for use on the RBR50/RBS50 devices. It will not work on an RBR 850 and you may brick your devices by trying.

    Voxel Custom firmware build for Orbi RBK50/RBK53 (RBR50, RBS50) v. 9.2.5.2.12SF-HW

No reason to be sorry, that clearly just means it is perfect just the way it is. haha A consideration for you is a "slim" version that disables all non critical services and is configured solely for core wifi/mesh and no extra features or bloat.

    Voxel Custom firmware build for Orbi RBK50/RBK53 (RBR50, RBS50) v. 9.2.5.2.12SF-HW

Checking in to see if there will be a new release this month. If not, this will be the first time in a year and a half! Enjoy the rest, stay safe!

    Voxel Custom firmware build for Orbi RBK50/RBK53 (RBR50, RBS50) v. 9.2.5.2.12SF-HW

I've helped a couple of folks that have RBR that were converted to RBS and running Voxel. There is no issue. The hardware (minus the sticker for WAN port) are identical. I would load back 2.5 stock on it, factory reset and try again.

    Voxel Custom firmware build for Orbi RBK50/RBK53 (RBR50, RBS50) v. 9.2.5.2.12SF-HW

I'd be sure to keep things like Netgear Armor, Disney Circle, Parental Controls, etc. disabled to minimize processing on the devices. Other than that, no it should not be an issue.

    Voxel Custom firmware build for Orbi RBK50/RBK53 (RBR50, RBS50) v. 9.2.5.2.12SF-HW

Orbi only supports 3 satellites. That said, there is a work around that you can follow to add more: 1. you have 3 satellites right now added 2. power off router and all satellites 3. power on router and the new unconnected satellite (leaves others turned off) 4. power on other satellites From...

    Voxel Custom firmware build for Orbi RBK50/RBK53 (RBR50, RBS50) v. 9.2.5.2.12SF-HW

5 minutes to install across two satellites and a router. Been using it for a few hours now without issue. Fast, as usual.

    Voxel Custom firmware build for Orbi RBK50/RBK53 (RBR50, RBS50) v. 9.2.5.2.11SF-HW

Strange. I don't see that on my Orbi. Do you have remote management enabled? Orbi Web Admin -> Advanced Tab -> Advanced Setup -> Remote Management Do you have any debug options enabled? http://orbilogin.com/debug.htm You should only be enabling SSH at the point you need it, are you keeping...

    Voxel Custom firmware build for Orbi RBK50/RBK53 (RBR50, RBS50) v. 9.2.5.2.11SF-HW

The Orbi app only works when you are connected to your home network, either locally or via a VPN.

    Voxel Custom firmware build for Orbi RBK50/RBK53 (RBR50, RBS50) v. 9.2.5.2.11SF-HW

Certainly not normal at all. As someone else mentioned, I'd suggest downgrading back to 2.5.2.4 and factory resetting. Update to Voxel and DO NOT reimport a backed up configuration.

    Voxel Custom firmware build for Orbi RBK50/RBK53 (RBR50, RBS50) v. 9.2.5.2.11SF-HW

First, you should really update satellites first BEFORE you update the router. Less impactful for when things like this happen. I'd suggest flashing your router back to 2.5.2.4, make sure everything is working ok and can see the satellites, then factory reset. Then update the satellites one at...

    Voxel Custom firmware build for Orbi RBK50/RBK53 (RBR50, RBS50) v. 9.2.5.2.11SF-HW

Yes, the instructions are the same for satellite and router.

If you've not already, disable MAC Address randomization on your iPhone. That can create issues with IP address cycling and connectivity issues.
